Pacioretty (illness) will be a game-time decision on Saturday.

Pacioretty missed the Canadiens' morning skate because of an illness, but he is listed as a game-time decision. Brian Flynn was a placeholder for Pacioretty this morning, so expect their lines to be shuffled if Pacioretty cannot play tonight.

Max Pacioretty

Vatanen (lower-body) skated on Friday; not expected to be in the lineup on Saturday

Vatanen has missed the last three games with a lower-body injury and isn’t expected to play this weekend. Vatanen was on the ice for practice on Friday but was not a full-participant, which suggests that he still has a ways to go in his recovery.

Sami Vatanen
Soshnikov (upper-body) is questionable for Saturday.

Soshnikov was a late scratch for Thursday’s game vs. the Blues and despite skating on Friday, he remains a question mark for Saturday’s contest. The Sharks have recalled Tim Heed from San Jose (AHL).

Heed has been called up a few occasions, but has only appeared in one game with the Sharks this season. The 26-year-old blueliner has posted fantastic numbers with the Barracuda so far this season, collecting 11 goals and 26 assists (37 points) in 34 games—that is good for second on the team and leads all San Jose defensemen.

Tim Heed
The Sharks have recalled Kevin Labanc from San Jose (AHL).

Labanc was sent down for a quick stint with the Barracuda and returns to the Sharks after missing the last two games. The rookie winger has collected seven goals and seven assists (14 points) in 40 games and should draw back into the lineup on Saturday.
