Suter was injured late in the second period after his leg slammed into the boards following a hit from Remi Elie. Suter, who had to be helped off of the ice, is going to be sidelined for an extended period of time and this is devastating to the Wild’s playoff hopes.

Bernier stopped all three shots that he faced after replacing Semyon Varlamov in Friday’s win over the Blackhawks. With Varlamov out for the rest of the regular season, it will be on Bernier to get the Avalanche into the playoffs. He is already 2-0-0 with a 1.00 GAA and .962 SV% vs. the Ducks this season.


Murray allowed two goals on 26 shots in the Penguins win over Montreal last night. The Penguins will stick with Murray tonight after he has won three of his last four starts with a 3.26 GAA and .898 SV%. Murray is 2-1-0 with a 3.01 GAA and .894 SV% vs. the Capitals this season.






Vasilevskiy allowed three goals on 29 shots in the Lightning’s loss in Boston on Thursday. He was given two of the last three games off, but will start tonight vs. the Predators. The 23-year-old will be happy to see the calendar flip to April as March was tough on home—5-4-0 with a 4.14 GAA and .883 SV%.

Saros stopped six of seven shots in the Predators loss to the Sabres last night. Saros finished the month at 3-0-2 with a 2.76 GAA and .919 SV% and he starts April with his second start of the year vs. the Lightning—he allowed four goals on 31 shots in a 4-3 OT loss to Tampa Bay in late-January.

Kinkaid allowed three goals on 30 shots in the Devils win over the Islanders last night. Despite playing a day ago, the Devils will stick with the hot hand tonight in Montreal. Kinkaid has won four of his last five and beat Montreal in his only start against them this season.


Niku, 21, was a seventh round pick in 2015 and has had a great debut season in North America. The Finnish defenseman has registered 15 goals and 37 assists (52 points) in 71 games with Manitoba after spending the early parts of his career in Finland.

Oshie was originally listed as questionable for Sunday’s game, but took part in the morning skate and will play tonight against the Penguins. Oshie has been hot as of late, picking up five goals and four assists (nine points) in his last nine games.
