The Flames have recalled Freddie Hamilton from Stockton (AHL).

Hamilton had one goal in two games with the Flames last week, before being reassigned to Stockton. His recall could mean that someone was banged up in last night’s win in Montreal and Hamilton would appear in his third game tonight.

Freddie Hamilton
Howard will start Tuesday in Tampa Bay.

Howard allowed three goals on 26 shots in the Red Wings 5-3 win over the Panthers on Saturday. Even though Petr Mrazek (illness) is set dress tonight, Howard will get his third consecutive start. Howie has won two in a row while turning aside 50 of 54 shots (.926 SV%). Tonight will be his third start of the season against Tampa Bay—he is 2-0-0 with a 1.00 GAA and .961 SV% in the first two.

Jimmy Howard
The Red Wings have signed Eric Tangradi to a two-year contract extension.

Tangradi has only appeared in one game with the Red Wings, but has impressed at the AHL level, picking up 49 points (24G / 25A) in 60 games with the Grand Rapids Griffins. He has 15 career points (5G / 10A) in 144 NHL games.

Eric Tangradi
The Hurricanes have recalled Derek Ryan from Charlotte (AHL).

Ryan, 29, has picked up one goal in two NHL games this season and 46 points (21G / 25A) in 63 games with Charlotte. With Brody Sutter going back to the AHL on Saturday, Ryan will appear in his third career NHL game on Tuesday.

Derek Ryan
Rinne is expected to start Monday vs. the Kings.

Rinne allowed two goals on 22 shots in the Predators win over the Islanders last Thursday. Carter Hutton got the call on Saturday, so look for Rinne to be back in goal tonight vs. the Kings. Rinne has won four of his last five starts while posting a 2.22 GAA and .920 SV%. Tonight will be his third start vs. the Kings—he has gone 0-0-2 with a 2.87 GAA and .898 SV% in the first two meetings.

Pekka Rinne
Maroon (illness) missed Monday’s practice; doubtful for Tuesday’s game vs. Arizona.

Maroon has picked up six points (2G / 4A) in 10 games since being acquired from the Ducks at the trade deadline. He had been skating with Connor McDavid and Jordan Eberle, so his absence will open a nice spot in the lineup. Monitor his status during Tuesday’s morning skate.

Pat Maroon
Perron (shoulder) will return to Anaheim; expected to be out week-to-week.

Perron suffered the injury in Sunday’s win in Winnipeg. He will head back to California and is expected to miss the remaining four-games of the Ducks’ road-trip. Head coach Bruce Boudreau believes that Perron is week-to-week, so we may not see him on the ice for a few weeks. Expect Nick Ritchie to see increased playing time while Perron is out.

David Perron
Perron (upper-body) missed practice on Monday; questionable for Tuesday’s game in Montreal.

Perron suffered an upper-body injury in the Ducks win over the Jets on Sunday. He played just 5:07 TOI before retiring to the dressing room and his status for Tuesday’s game is in doubt. Consider him day-to-day until the Ducks announce further information.

David Perron
Anderson starts Tuesday vs. the Capitals.

Anderson allowed three goals on 34 shots in the Senators loss in Buffalo on Friday. Since returning to the Senators crease on March 10th, Anderson has gone 2-2-0 with a 2.73 GAA and .908 SV%. After Andrew Hammond started on Saturday, Anderson will get the nod tonight vs. the NHL-leading Washington Capitals. He has not faced the Caps this season and they surprisingly come in having lost three of their last five.

Craig Anderson
Boyes (upper-body) will not play Monday; expected to return Thursday vs. Anaheim.

Boyes will miss his seventh straight games with an upper-body injury, but is expected to return Thursday vs. the Ducks. Boyes has eight goals and 14 assists (22 points) in 51 games this season.
