Gustavsson leads the Bruins onto the ice for warmups.

Gustavsson allowed five goals on 34 shots in the Bruins loss to the Blue Jackets on February 22nd. Gustavsson won his first game vs. the Lightning, but they come in on a hot-streak, so he is a risky start this evening. Gustavsson has gone 7-2-0 with a 2.14 GAA and .922 SV% on the road this season.

Jonas Gustavsson
The Sharks will not hold a morning skate on Tuesday because of their back-to-back. Head coach Peter DeBoer is expected announce his starts when he addresses the media around 7:00 p.m.

Jones made a career-high 47 saves on 48 shots in the Sharks’ 2-1 OT win in Calgary last night. Coming off of a busy night, Jones might get tonight off which means James Reimer would start.

Martin Jones
The Bruins will not hold a morning skate because of their back-to-back. Head coach Claud Julien will address the media around 6:20 p.m. but we might have to wait until warmups to find out who their starter is.

Rask allowed four goals on 51 shots in the win last night. His heavy workload means Jonas Gustavsson could go tonight.

Tuukka Rask
Varlamov starts vs. the Ducks on Wednesday.

Varlamov stopped 37 of 38 shots in Colorado’s win over the Coyotes on Monday. After sitting for a few games, Varlamov looked rejuvenated and will look to carry that into tonight’s game vs. the Ducks. Varlamov is 13-10-3 with a 2.96 GAA and .905 SV% on home ice this season and tonight’s matchup vs. the Ducks is about as tough as it gets right now.

Semyon Varlamov
Ortio starts Wednesday vs. Nashville.

Ortio allowed two goals on 23 shots in the Flames loss to the Sharks on Monday. Ortio has played well in his last three starts while stopping 73 of 79 shots (.924 SV%). His play is impressive, but he draws another tough matchup tonight vs, Nashville. The Predators have won seven of their last eight games while posting 3.88 goals per game.

Joni Ortio
Talbot starts Tuesday vs. the Sharks.

Talbot made 39 saves on 40 shots in the Oilers’ 2-1 win in Winnipeg on Sunday. Talbot has been fantastic recently, winning his last four starts while posting 0.74 GAA, .979 SV% and one shutout. Tonight he will make his second start of the season vs. the Sharks—he stopped 36 of 37 shots in a 2-1 shootout loss in the first meeting.

Cam Talbot
Crawford will start Wednesday in St. Louis.

Crawford stopped 33 of 34 shots in the Blackhawks win over the Red Wings on Sunday. Crawford has won three consecutive starts while posting a 1.67 GAA and .948 SV%. Tonight will be his fourth start of the season vs. the St. Louis Blues—he has gone 2-0-1 with a 2.61 GAA and .906 SV% in the first three meetings.

Corey Crawford
Hunwick (undisclosed) suffered an injury on Monday that will require season-ending surgery.

Hunwick will undergo season-ending sports hernia surgery that he originally suffered in mid-February. The recovery period is expected to be 10 weeks, which will wrap Hunwick’s season up with 10 points (2G / 8A) and a minus-17 rating in 60 games. With Hunwick out, the Maple Leafs have recalled Viktor Loov from Toronto (AHL).

Matt Hunwick
Sparks starts Wednesday vs. the Islanders.

Sparks allowed three goals on 27 shots in the Maple Leafs shootout loss to the Sabres on Monday. It looked like Sparks was going to cruise to a win, up 3-1 in the third period, but then the wheels fell off. He has posted a 2.32 GAA and .909 SV% in three starts since being recalled from the Marlies and tonight he will start for the fourth time in six games.

Garret Sparks
Lehner will face the Rangers on Tuesday.

Lehner stopped 28 of 30 shots in the Sabres 3-2 shootout loss to the Wild on Saturday. Lehner has lost five of his last six starts despite posting a 2.30 GAA and .928 SV%. Lehner has not played enough games to qualify to be a league leader, but he currently holds a .931 SV%, which is better than Thomas Greiss, who leads the NHL with .930. He'll face a Rangers team that has won four of six.

Robin Lehner
Rinne is expected to start in Winnipeg.

Rinne allowed two goals on 36 shots in the Predators win in Colorado on Saturday. Rinne has won five of his last six starts while posting a 1.97 GAA, .941 SV% and one shutout. Rinne draws a fantastic matchup in Winnipeg this evening. The Jets have lost eight of their last 10, however, they have averaged 2.70 goals per game over that span.

Pekka Rinne
Parenteau (upper-body) returns to the Maple Leafs' lineup on Wednesday.

Parenteau has missed the last five games with an upper-body injury, but will be back in the lineup on Wednesday vs. his former team. Parenteau has been one of the lone bright spots for the Maple Leafs this season, picking up 32 points (16G / 16A) in 60 games. He is expected to skate on a line with two rookies, William Nylander and Zach Hyman.

P.A. Parenteau
Armia will miss at least one week with a lower-body injury.

Armia played a season-high 19:24 TOI on Sunday and had just started taking on a larger role in Winnipeg, but will miss at least one week with a lower-body injury. With Armia out, Marko Dano will move into the Jets top-6.

Joel Armia
Datsyuk (illness) skated this morning; expected to play in Columbus.

Datsyuk was a late scratch form Sunday’s game in Chicago, but practiced on Monday and took part in today’s morning skate, so look for him to be in the lineup in Columbus. Datsyuk has just one goal in his last six games, but remains a high-end centre option.

Pavel Datsyuk
Klingberg (lower-body) will miss his second straight game on Tuesday.

Klingberg remains day-to-day and will not play tonight in Montreal. There is no word on exactly how serious the injury is, but monitor his status leading up to the Stars’ back-to-back on Friday and Saturday. With Klingberg out, Kris Russell will play on the top pair and top power-play.

John Klingberg
Hammond will start Tuesday in Carolina.

Hammond allowed two goals on 25 shots in the Senators loss to the Stars on Sunday. Since taking over for an injured Craig Anderson, Hammond has gone 1-2-0 with a 2.03 GAA and .938 SV%. Tonight he faces the Hurricanes, who weakened their team at the trade deadline and come in having lost four of their last five games while averaging just 2.00 goals per game.

Andrew Hammond
Fleury starts Tuesday in Brooklyn.

Fleury allowed four goals on 30 shots in the Penguins loss to the Flames on Saturday. Matt Murray got the nod on Sunday, so the Penguins will come back to Fleury against the Islanders tonight. Fleury was victorious in his first starts vs. the Islanders, but they come in having won six of their last seven games.
