The Maple Leafs have recalled Kasperi Kapanen from Toronto (AHL).

Kapanen has played in 32 games with the Marlies, recording eight goals and 14 assists for 22 points. The 19-year-old recorded the game-winning overtime goal for his native Finland as they defeated Russia to capture the 2016 World Junior Hockey Championship. Kapanen, who was acquired via trade from Pittsburgh in July 2015, was drafted by the Penguins in the 1st round (22nd overall) during the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

The Maple Leafs have recalled William Nylander from Toronto (AHL).

Nylander, 19, has skated in 37 regular season games with the Marlies this season and ranks tied for ninth in league scoring with 45 points (18G / 27A). The 19-year-old was one of three Marlies players selected to skate in the 2016 AHL All-Star Game. Nylander was drafted by Toronto in the 1st round (8th overall) during the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

Vasilevskiy is expected to start Monday in Toronto.

Vasilevskiy stopped 29 of 30 shots in the Lightning’s win over the Coyotes last Tuesday. He spent the weekend with Syracuse (AHL) but is back with the Lightning and could start tonight after Ben Bishop went on Sunday. Vasilevskiy has gone 10-5-0 with a 2.75 GAA and .910 SV% this season and draws a strong matchup against the fire-selling Maple Leafs.

Andrei Vasilevskiy
The Kings have acquired Kris Versteeg from the Hurricanes for Valentin Zykov and a conditional fifth round pick.

Versteeg won a Stanley Cup with the Blackhawks last season and has picked up 11 goals and 22 assists (33 points) in 63 games with the Hurricanes this season. He’ll have a shot at another Stanley Cup this season as he joins the Kings, where he could find himself in their top-6.

Kris Versteeg
Quick leads the Kings onto the ice for warmups.

Quick stopped 26 of 27 shots in the Kings win over the Oilers on Thursday. Jhonas Enroth started last night, so Quick will start tonight in Anaheim. Quick has won three in a row, he is 5-2-1 with a 1.89 GAA and .936 SV% in February. He has gone 1-1-0 with a 3.63 GAA and .878 SV% in two starts vs. Anaheim this season.

Jonathan Quick
Miller leads the Canucks onto the ice for warmups.

Miller allowed three goals on 30 shots in the Canucks win over the Senators on Thursday. Jacob Markstrom missed Saturday’s practice with an illness, so look for Miller to go tonight, in search of a third straight win. He has stopped 64 of the last 68 shots that he has faced (.941 SV%), but has a sub-.500 record on home ice this year.

Ryan Miller
Rask leads the Bruins onto the ice for warmups.

Rask turned aside 39 of 40 shots in the Bruins win in Carolina on Friday. That’s now three straight wins for Rask and back-to-back games facing 40-plus shots and only allowing a single goal. Rask is 7-2-1 with a 2.65 GAA and .924 SV% in February, but he was torched for six goals on 23 shots in a 6-3 loss in his first start vs. the Lightning back in October.

Tuukka Rask
Quick is expected to start Sunday in Anaheim.

Quick stopped 26 of 27 shots in the Kings win over the Oilers on Thursday. Jhonas Enroth started last night, so look for Quick to go tonight in Anaheim. Quick has won three in a row, he is 5-2-1 with a 1.89 GAA and .936 SV% in February. He has gone 1-1-0 with a 3.63 GAA and .878 SV% in two starts vs. Anaheim this season.

Jonathan Quick
Jones will be in goal for the Sharks on Sunday.

Jones allowed two goals on 21 shots in the Sharks loss to the Sabres on Friday. James Reimer was acquired from Toronto on Saturday, but will not be there in time for Sunday’s game, so Jones will start tonight in Vancouver. Jones is 6-4-1 with a 2.26 GAA and .920 SV% in the month of February.

Martin Jones
The Rangers have acquired Eric Staal from the Hurricanes for a 2016 second round pick, a 2017 second round pick and Aleksi Saarela.

Staal has been with the Hurricanes since being drafted second overall in 2003. He has seen his offensive output dip in recent years and has posted just 10 goals and 23 assists (33 points) in 63 games this season. He is a pending unrestricted free agent and leaves one brother (Jordan) to join another (Marc). He will play in the Rangers’ top-6 and shouldn’t be leaned on as heavily as he was in Carolina.

Eric Staal
Dubnyk leads the Wild onto the ice for warmups.

Dubnyk allowed three goals on 31 shots in the Wild’s loss in Philadelphia on Thursday. He has lost two in a row and is 3-6-0 with a 3.12 GAA and .897 SV% in February. He lost his first start vs. the Panthers and they come in atop the Atlantic Division, so this is not the best matchup for a struggling Dubnyk.

Devan Dubnyk
Halak starts Sunday in Edmonton.

Halak stopped 31 of 32 shots in the Islanders win in Calgary on Thursday. He has won three consecutive starts while posting a 0.65 GAA and .978 SV%. Halak has gone just 8-7-3 while posting a 2.33 GAA and .919 SV% on the road this season, but he draws a plus matchup tonight in Edmonton.
