He played very well in his first start vs. the Flames, where he stopped 23 of 24 shots in a 4-1 win back on New Year’s Eve.
Ortio allowed two goals on 11 shots after replacing Jonas Hiller in the Flames loss to the Ducks on February 15th. Ortio is 0-3-1 with a 4.13 GAA and .862 SV% in two starts and three relief appearances this season. Ortio has gone 9-9-0 with a 3.36 GAA and .893 SV% in 20 games with Stockton (AHL) this season.
Hutton turned aside 29 of 32 shots in the Predators loss to the Stars on February 15th. Pekka Rinne started last night, so look for Hutton to go tonight in Toronto. Hutton is 6-2-2 with a 2.17 GAA and .922 SV% on the season and draws an excellent matchup vs. a Maple Leafs team that continues to tear their roster apart.
Dubnyk stopped 31 of 32 shots in the Wild’s win over the Blackhawks on Sunday. Dubnyk has won three straight while posting a 2.00 GAA and .930 SV%. He will go for his fourth consecutive won tonight vs. the Islanders, who lit him up earlier in the month—Dubnyk was pulled after allowing five goals on 30 shots on Feb. 2.
Talbot gave up three goals on 29 shots in the Olers loss to the Avalanche last Saturday. Talbot has dropped three straight starts while posting a 3.48 GAA and .881 SV% and tonight he faces the Senators for the second time this season—he stopped 36 of 38 shots in the Oilers win in Ottawa back on February 4th. Ottawa comes in having won three straight.
Halak turned aside all 27 shots that he faced in the Islanders shutout win in New Jersey last Friday. Each of his last five starts have come on the road, like tonight. In those five games, he has gone 2-3-0 with a 3.54 GAA and .877 SV%. Tonight he faces a Wild team that has caught fire, winning four in a row while averaging 5.25 goals per game.
Domingue allowed three goals on 34 shots in the Coyotes loss in Washington last night. Despite the busy workload, he will go again tonight in Tampa Bay. Domingue is 3-5-1 with a 3.39 GAA and .893 SV% in February and his opponent tonight has won three in a row while averaging 4.33 goals per game. It's a rough matchup, especially on no rest.
Neuvirth stopped nine of 10 shots after replacing Steve Mason in the Flyers win in Toronto on Saturday. Neuvirth has gone 2-0-2 with a 2.34 GAA and .910 SV% in February and tonight he faces the Hurricanes for the third time this season. Neuvirth was 2-0-0 wit ha 2.46 GAA and .923 SV% in his first two starts against Carolina.
Lundqvist stopped all 22 shots that he faced in the Rangers’ shutout, OT win over the Red Wings on Sunday. Lundqvist has been superb since the All-Star break, going 6-2-0 with a 1.61 GAA and .934 SV% in his last eight starts. Tonight he faces the Devils for the fourth time—he is 1-1-1 with a 1.98 GAA and .922 SV% in the first three.
Pavelec allowed five goals on 26 shots in the Jets loss in Tampa Bay last Thursday. Pavelec is 1-1-1 with a 2.56 GAA and .896 SV% in three starts since returning from a knee injury. Tonight he faces a Stars team that has surprisingly lost three in a row while being outscored 15-7. On a busy slate, Pavelec makes a low-end fantasy option given the Stars ability to score goals in bunches.
