Howard allowed three goals on 33 shots in the Red Wings 4-3 OT win in St. Louis last Saturday. Howard has allowed three goals per game in his last three starts, going 2-1-0 with an .875 SV% over that span. He draws a great matchup tonight with the Oilers in town—Edmonton has lost five of six while averaging 2.33 goals over game.

The Flyers have recalled Nick Cousins from Lehigh Valley (AHL).

Cousins, 22, has 18 points (5G / 13A) in 15 games with Lehigh Valley this season. He will make his season debut on Friday, replacing Taylor Leier, who was sent down. He will centre the fourth line with Colin McDonald and Scott Laughton on his wings.

The Islanders have recalled Ryan Strome from Bridgeport (AHL).

Strome struggled with the Islanders at the start of the season, posting just one goal and four assists in 12 games. After being reassigned, he picked up two goals and two assists in eight games with Bridgeport. Strome will be in the Isles’ lineup on Friday.
