Mason will start Thursday vs. the Sharks.

Mason stopped 38 of 40 shots in the Flyers’ shootout loss to the Kings on Tuesday. Despite the loss, it was a great outing for Mason who has had his struggles this season. He has stopped 57 of the last 61 shots (.934 SV%) he has faced. Tonight Mason will take on the Sharks at home, where he is 1-3-2 with a 2.93 GAA and .916 SV% this season.

Lundqvist will start on Thursday.

Lundqvist made 22 saves on 23 shots in the Rangers win in Ottawa on Saturday. Antti Raanta started on Sunday so they will go back to Lundqvist tonight in Tampa Bay. King Henrik enters play tonight having won six in a row while posting a 1.32 GAA and .955 SV%. Tonight’s matchup is a strong one because the Lightning are extremely banged up right now.

Pavelec leads the Jets onto the ice for warmups.

Pavelec allowed four goals on 27 shots after replacing Michael Hutchinson in the Jets 7-0 loss in Nashville on Saturday. The Jets have been horrible as of late, losing six in a row. Pavelec has gone 1-3-0 with a 3.49 GAA and .875 SV% in four starts and two relief appearances in the month of November. He will face a Canucks team who is having their own struggles— they come in losers of six of the last seven.

Maatta (upper-body) has been released from hospital; expected to miss 3-4 weeks.

Maatta was hit from behind into the bench door in Tuesday’s win over the Islanders. He was hospitalized for nearly 24 hours and is now expected to miss 3-4 weeks with an upper-body injury. The Penguins were originally worried about organ damage, so 3-4 weeks isn’t too bad all things considered. Expect the Penguins to recall a blueliner on Wednesday night or Thursday morning.

Olli Maatta
The Oilers have placed Luke Gazdic (illness) on injured reserve.

Gazdic will not play on Wednesday and has been placed on IR, which means he will miss at least seven days. Gazdic’s movement to IR created a roster spot for the Oilers to activate Lauri Korpikoski (head) in advance of tonight’s game.

Luke Gazdic
The Oilers have activated Lauri Korpikoski (head) from IR; will play on Wednesday.

Korpikoski has missed the last eight games with a head injury, but will be back in the lineup tonight vs. the Blackhawks. Korpikoski will skate on the fourth line with Anton Lander and Iiro Pakarinen—he has two goals and one assist in 10 games this season.

Lauri Korpikoski
The Devils have signed Tyler Kennedy to a professional tryout.

Kennedy had two goals and three assists (five points) in 13 games with the Islanders last season, but went unsigned this summer. He will tryout for the Devils this week.

Pavelec is expected to start Wednesday vs. Vancouver.

Ondrej Pavelec
The Blue Jackets have placed Jared Boll (foot) on injured reserve.

Boll blocked a shot off of his foot on Tuesday and will miss at least the next seven days after he was placed on IR this afternoon. Look for him to miss at least three games. With Boll out, the Blue Jackets have recalled Josh Andernson from Lake Erie (AHL).

Jared Boll
Gleason is with the Hurricanes on a professional tryout.

Gleason split last season between the Hurricanes and Capitals, but went unsigned this summer. The 32-year-old played with the Hurricanes from 2006-2014 and could end up signing with them again if this tryout goes well. Gleason has 17 goals and 125 assists (142 points) in 727 career NHL games.

Tim Gleason
Miller missed practice on Wednesday with an upper-body injury.

Miller must have suffered an upper-body injury in Tuesday’s loss to the Sharks. He missed this morning’s practice, but it remains unclear how long he will be out of the lineup. If Kevan Miller misses time, look for Colin Miller to re-enter the lineup on Thursday.

Kevan Miller
Condon starts Thursday vs. Arizona.

Condon allowed three goals on 26 shots in the Canadiens 4-3 OT win over the Canucks on Monday. In his first five starts after Carey Price got hurt, Condon didn’t allow more than two goals but has now given up three-plus goals in his last three starts. He draws a strong matchup against a Coyotes team that has lost their last two while being outscored 10-4.
