Paquette (undisclosed) will not play on Thursday.

Paquette will miss his second straight game with an undisclosed injury. The Lightning winger has had a hard time staying healthy this season and he is once again listed as day-to-day. Monitor Paquette’s status leading up to Saturday’s game.

Cedric Paquette
Miller starts Wednesday in Winnipeg.

Miller allowed four goals on 40 shots in Saturday’s 4-2 loss in Toronto. After a nice start to the season, Miller has now dropped five straight starts while positing an ugly 3.46 GAA and .877 SV%. The wheels have fallen off recently, but he draws a good matchup tonight vs. a Winnipeg team that has lost six in a row while being outscored 24-10.

Ryan Miller
Holtby gets the nod on Wednesday in Detroit.

Holtby allowed two goals on 20 shots in the Capitals win in Philadelphia last Thursday. Philipp Grubauer started on Friday, so the Capitals turn back to Holtby tonight in Detroit. He faced the Red Wings last week, allowing a single (soft) goal on 27 shots in the 1-0 loss. Holtby has gone 3-2-0 with a 2.41 GAA and .894 SV% on the road.

Braden Holtby
The Canucks have recalled Alexandre Grenier from Utica (AHL).

Grenier has recorded seven points (2G / 5A) in 13 games with Utica this season. On Wednesday he will make his NHL debut because the Canucks want to get some size in the lineup vs. the heavy Jets. Grenier is 6-foot-5, 200 lbs. and is expected to debut on Vancouver’s second line.

Alexandre Grenier
Mrazek starts Wednesday vs. the Capitals.

Mrazek allowed three goals on 31 shots in the Red Wings loss in Boston on Saturday. The Red Wings continue to split games between their two netminder, which means that Mrazek will face Washington tonight. He has been great all season and posted a 38-save shutout vs. the Capitals last Tuesday.

Petr Mrazek
Neuvirth (upper-body) returned to practice on Wednesday.

Neuvirth did not dress for Tuesday’s game because of an upper-body injury, but it was obviously minor and he should be set to at least dress for Thursday’s game vs. San Jose.

Michal Neuvirth
Price (lower-body) returned to practice on Wednesday.

Price has been sidelined since October 29th, but his return to practice this morning suggests that he is nearing a return to the Habs’ crease. Mike Condon has played admirably while serving as Montreal’s No. 1, but he has struggled recently, so Price’s return will be a welcomed sight. Monitor his status as the week progresses.

Carey Price
Mrazek is in the starter's net this morning.

Petr Mrazek
Lehtera left Tuesday's game and did not return after taking a high stick to the mouth.

Lehtera left Tuesday’s game after playing just 3:25 TOI. He took a high stick from Brandon Saad and was forced to retire to the dressing room. Luther is listed as day-to-day and he should be monitored during Thursday’s morning skate.
