Fleury allowed just one goal on 28 shots in the Golden Knights overtime win in Arizona on Saturday. Fleury dazzled in his first week with the Golden Knights, earning Second Star of the Week honours from the NHL. Fleury is 2-0-0 with a 0.98 GAA and .973 SV% to start the 2017-18 season and tonight he gets another crack at the Coyotes in the Vegas home opener.

Jimmy Howard was in the starter’s crease on Monday, but it looks like Mrazek will start his first game of the season tonight in Dallas. This seems like a weird time to give Mrazek a start considering Howard has been playing great and they have a back-to-back on Thursday/Friday. The 25-year-old is coming off of a tough season, particularly on the road, where he went 9-11-4 with a 3.15 GAA and .901 SV%

Boeser had an excellent preseason and was an early favourite for rookie of the year, but he will have a tough time doing so if he can’t get into the lineup. The Canucks won their season opener vs. the Oilers, so they’ll roll with the same lineup tonight vs. the Senators—which means Jake Virtanen in, Boeser out.

Markstrom made 33 saves on 35 shots in the Canucks’ season opening win over the Oilers. It was a strong season debut for Markstrom, who will go for a second game in a row tonight vs. Ottawa. Markstrom won’t see a lot of the Senators throughout his career, but he was great in a losing effort vs. Ottawa last year—he stopped 23 of 24 shots in a 1-0 defeat.

Granlund missed Saturday’s game in Carolina as well as Monday and Tuesday’s practices and after the session head coach Bruce Boudreau said that Granlund will miss at least the next four games, keeping him sidelined until at least October 24th vs. Vancouver. With Granlund out, Marcus Foligno is expected to start with Mikko Koivu and Jason Zucker.

Rinne allowed three goals on 31 shots in the Predators loss in Boston on opening night. Juuse Saros got the call in Pittsburgh on Saturday, so expect Rinne back between the pipes on four days rest. Tonight will be the Predators home opener—Rinne was 21-6-5 with a 2.23 GAA, .920 SV% and three shutouts at Bridgestone Arena last season.

Price allowed two goals on 25 shots in the Canadiens 2-0 loss to the Rangers on Sunday. Price will make his third start in four days when he gets the call tonight vs. the visiting Blackhawks, who are coming off of an OT loss in Toronto last night. Price has a .905 SV% in his first three starts of the season and has been getting basically no goal support so far.

Elliott stopped 21 of 23 shots in the Flyers’ win in Anaheim on Saturday. Elliott has won his first two starts with the Flyers, stopping 53 of 58 shots (.914 SV%) and tonight he makes his third start in four games. He will face a Nashville team that has lost their first two games of the season—scoring just three goals.

Jimmy Howard was in the starter’s crease on Monday, but it looks like Mrazek will start his first game of the season tonight in Dallas. This seems like a weird time to give Mrazek a start considering Howard has been playing great and they have a back-to-back on Thursday/Friday. The 25-year-old is coming off of a tough season, particularly on the road, where he went 9-11-4 with a 3.15 GAA and .901 SV%.

Honka sat as a healthy scratch in the first two games of the season, but will replace Dan Hamhuis (groin) in the lineup on Tuesday. Honka spent most of last season with Texas (AHL), where he had 31 points (7G / 24A) in 50 games but he also added five points (1G / 4A) in 16 NHL games.

Hamhuis suffered a groin injury in the Stars' loss on Saturday and he will not be available for tonight's game vs. the Red Wings. With Hamhuis sidelined, Julius Honka will draw into the lineup for his first game of the season. Consider Hamhuis as day-to-day.

Hanzal left Saturday’s game with a lower-body injury, but will be in the lineup tonight vs. Detroit. Hanzal will continue to centre the third line, but tonight he will have Mattias Janmark and Devin Shore on his wings. Hanzal continues to look for his first point as a Dallas Star.

Girard was a second-round pick (no.47 overall) in 2016 and will make his NHL debut after playing just six professional games (AHL) last season. Girard is undersized (5-foot-10 / 162 lbs) but has a lot of offensive flair—he recorded 75 points (9G / 66A) in 59 games with Shawinigan (QMJHL) last season. Girard will likely be replacing Roman Josi, who is dealing wth an undisclosed injury.

Sissons was not on the ice for the Predators morning skate, so he is listed as a game-time decision. If Sissons can’t play, Kevin Fiala (upper-body) is expected to draw back in to take his roster spot.

Josi missed Monday’s practice for “maintenance” but was also not on the ice for today’s morning skate which puts his status for tonight’s game in question. Samuel Girard is expected to make his NHL debut tonight regardless of Josi’s status. Monitor Josi’s status during pre-game warmups.

Bishop stopped all 19 shots that he faced before being pulled from the Stars season opener with a concussion. Kari Lehtonen started the following night, but Bishop is ready to get back in the crease tonight vs. the Red Wings. His Stars debut was strong and he has been great against Detroit during his career with the Lightning.

van Riemsdyk is in concussion protocol following his Hurricanes’ debut and will not play tonight. With van Riemsdky out, Klas Dahlbeck will draw in on the blueline and all three D-pairs will be shuffled around. Consider TvR as day-to-day.

Lundqvist stopped all 34 shots that he faced in the Rangers’ 2-0 shutout win over Montreal on Sunday. Lundqvist wasn’t originally expected to start but got the nod because he was yanked in Toronto on Saturday. The shutout was big for King Henrik, who struggled in his first two outings. Tonight he faces an undefeated Blues team on the tail-end of a back-to-back.

Chytil averaged just 6:20 TOI in his first two NHL games and served as a healthy scratch vs. the Canadiens on Sunday. The 18-year-old will head to Hartford to work on his game—Adam Cracknell will take his spot on the roster after being claimed off of waivers from Dallas.
