He started both games of the back-to-back so it wasn’t surprising to see him struggle in his second game in as many nights. He comes into Saturday with two wins, a 2.80 GAA and .900 SV% in his last five starts.
Crawford allowed two goals on 35 shots in the Blackhawks win over the Kings on Monday. Crawford has been great to start the 2015-16 season, winning five of his last six and six of nine with a 1.79 GAA and .938 SV% overall. On Wednesday, he will face a Blues team that is 12th in the NHL in scoring this season.
Bishop gave up two goals on 33 shots in the Lightning’s loss to the Bruins last Saturday. Bishop has lost three straight starts despite posting a strong 1.70 GAA and .939 SV%. Andrei Vasilevskiy started on Sunday, but Bishop will go tonight vs. the Red Wings. In his first start vs. Detroit, Bishop allowed two goals on 23 shots in a 3-1 loss.
Hossa will miss his second straight game with a lower-body concern, that is still not believed to be overly serious. With Hossa out, Ryan Garbutt will continue to skate on Jonathan Toews’ wing. Hossa is day-to-day.
Neuvirth allowed three goals on 36 shots in the Flyers loss in Buffalo on Friday. He is 2-1-0 with a 1.91 GAA and .939 SV% in four starts and one relief appearance with the Flyers. Neuvirth will get the nod in the second half of the back-to-back—the Oilers have averaged 3.33 goals per game in their last six contests.

DeMelo served as a healthy scratch in two games during his call-up. He has been sent down with the Sharks recalling Karl Stollery. DeMelo has no points in three AHL games.
The Sharks have been promoting and demoting players all season long, so don’t expect Stollery’s stay in the NHL to last very long. They 27-year-old blueliner has one assist in six games in the AHL this season.
Mitchell is day-to-day with an oblique injury, so he will be replaced by Ben Street, who was recalled from San Antonio (AHL) on Monday.
Enroth made 39 saves on 40 shots in the Kings win over the Sharks on October 22nd. It was a fantastic Kings’ debut for Enroth, who appears to be in line for his second start tonight in St. Louis. The Blues currently rank 12th in the NHL with 2.73 goals per game.
Varlamov surrendered three goals on 31 shots in the Avs’ loss to the Kings on Sunday. After winning his second game of the season, Varlamov has dropped his last two starts while allowing a combined six goals on 57 shots (.895 SV%). Varlamov could make for a solid start tonight with at the Flames and their 24th ranked offence in town.
Shattenkirk will miss his ninth consecutive game tonight vs. the Kings. He was once again on the ice for the Blues’ morning skate, but will be held out of the lineup as he continues to work is way back from a lower-body injury. He is questionable for Wednesday in Chicago.
With Vladimir Tarasenko ready to return to the lineup after a one game absence, Gomez will sit tonight vs. the Kings. Gomez has one goal and two assists in seven games with the Blues.
