Zidlicky will be back in the Islanders lineup on Monday.

Zidlicky was a healthy scratch on Saturday, but will be back in the lineup tonight vs. the Flames. With Thomas Hickey out indefinitely, Zidlicky shouldn’t be a healthy scratch again for a while. The veteran blueliner has one goal and two assists in seven games.

Marek Zidlicky
Halak starts on Monday vs. the Flames.

Halak allowed four goals on 25 shots in the Islanders loss to the Bruins on Friday. It was Halak’s first loss of the season, but he has been really good to start the season, posting a 2.36 GAA and .920 SV% in three starts. He was given Saturday night off, but will be back in goal tonight vs. a struggling Flames team.

Jaroslav Halak
Hoffman (upper-body) left Monday’s practice early; questionable for Wednesday.

Hoffman missed Saturday’s game vs. Arizona but was originally expected to be back in the lineup on Wednesday. Hoffman returned to practice this morning, but only lasted about 10 minutes before leaving the ice. Not finishing practice clouds Hoffman’s status for Wednesday—monitor his status as the week progresses.

Mike Hoffman
Reimer is the Maple Leafs likely starter.

Reimer allowed three goals on 27 shots in the Maple Leafs win over the Blue Jackets on October 16th. Jonathan Bernier started the last three games but it looks like the Maple Leafs will turn to Reimer tonight vs. Arizona. Reimer has posted a 2.91 GAA and .890 SV% in three starts, but draws a strong matchup tonight.

James Reimer
Crawford is expected to be in goal on Monday.

Crawford stopped all 21 shots that he faced in the Blackhawks’ shutout win over the Lightning on Saturday. It was a relatively easy shutout for Crawford, who has won four of six starts with a 1.84 GAA and .929 SV% to start the 2015-16 season. On Monday he will take on a Ducks team who has only scored six goals in seven games this season.

Corey Crawford
The Coyotes recalled Tyler Gaudet from Springfield (AHL).

Gaudet, 22, has been recalled because Antoine Vermette is battling a lower-body injury and the Coyotes did not have an extra forward. Gaudet had no points and a minus-5 rating in four games with Springfield at the time of he call-up.

Tyler Gaudet
Dubnyk (lower-body) will not practice on Monday; could miss Tuesday’s game.

Dubnyk stopped 14 of 15 shots after replacing Darcy Kuemper in the Wild’s loss to the Jets on Sunday. Dubnyk said he felt his knee “pop” during his start on Saturday. The injury is not believed to be serious, but it could keep Dubnyk off of the ice for a few days.

Devan Dubnyk
Barkov is out with a broken bone in his hand; no timetable for his return.

Barkov is expected to meet with a specialist on Monday, who will determine if the Panthers’ centre will need surgery on his broken hand. There is no timetable for his return until they determine whether or not he needs surgery—Barkov could miss between two weeks and two months.

Aleksander Barkov
Ortio will make his first start of the season on Monday.

Ortio stopped all five shots that he faced after replacing Jonas Hiller in the Flames’ loss to the Rangers on Sunday night. With Karri Ramo now in Stockton (AHL), Ortio has a chance to carve out a nice role alongside Hiller. With Hiller struggling last night, a nice outing from Ortio on Monday would go a long way.

Joni Ortio
Quick leads the Kings onto the ice for warmups.

Quick stopped all 40 shots that he faced in the Kings shutout win over the Hurricanes on Friday. Quick had a tough start to the season, but has now won three consecutive starts while allowing just two goals on 89 shots (.978 SV%). He makes for a great start on Sunday night vs. the Oilers.

Jonathan Quick
Hutchinson leads the Jets onto the ice for warmups.

Hutchinson stopped 40 of 41 shots in the Jets win over the Rangers on October 13th. Hutchinson has stopped 60 of 62 shots that he has faced this season (.968 SV%). Tonight he will get his third start of the season tonight vs. Minnesota. Hutchinson went 2-1-1 with a 2.12 GAA and .922 SV% in four starts vs. the Wild last season.

Michael Hutchinson
Quick is expected to get the nod on Sunday.

Talbot starts Sunday vs. the Kings.

Talbot allowed one goal on nine shots after replacing Anders Nilsson in the Oilers’ loss to the Capitals on Friday. Talbot has posted a 2.22 GAA and .918 SV% in five starts and one relief appearance this season. The poor performance from Nilsson opens the door for Talbot to stake his claim as the unquestioned No. 1 in Edmonton.
