McElhinney will be between the pipes again on Tuesday.

McElhinney allowed three goals on 29 shots in the Blue Jackets loss to the Blackhawks on Saturday. With Sergei Bobrovsky struggling out of the gate, McElhinney will make his second straight start tonight vs. the Islanders. McElhinney has gone 3-1-0 with a 2.68 GAA and .924 SV% vs. the Isles.

O'Neill in; Boucher out.

O’Neill sat as a healthy scratch on Sunday but will get back into the lineup on Tuesday vs. Arizona. O’Neill has just one shot on goal while averaging 8:13 TOI through three games with New Jersey.

Brian O'Neill
Shattenkirk (lower-body) returned to practice on Tuesday; has skated for three straight days.

Shattenkirk has missed the last three games and will probably miss his fourth straight tonight, but the fact that he has skated for three straight days and participated in the morning skate on Tuesday is a good sign that he isn’t far from a return.

Kevin Shattenkirk
Wennberg (concussion) is expected to return to the lineup on Tuesday.

Wennberg has missed the last five games with a concussion, but it appears he will return to the lineup tonight vs. the Islanders. Wennberg will centre the Blue Jackets’ second line between Brandon Saad and Scott Hartnell. The former 1st round pick has offensive upside and his new line mates could bring it out of him.

Alex Wennberg
McElhinney is in the "starter's crease" this morning.

McElhinney allowed three goals on 29 shots in the Blue Jackets loss to the Blackhawks on Saturday. With Sergei Bobrovsky struggling out of the gate, it looks like McElhinney will make his second straight start tonight vs. the Islanders. McElhinney has gone 3-1-0 with a 2.68 GAA and .924 SV% vs. the Isles.

The Oilers have recalled Andrew Miller from Bakersfield (AHL).

Miller has recorded three points (1G / 2A) in four games with Bakersfield this season. In nine NHL games last season the 27-year-old had one goal and six assists. He could make his season debut on Wednesday vs. the Red Wings.

Andrew Miller
The Oilers have placed Matt Hendricks (foot) on injured reserve.

Hendricks is a big penalty killer for the Oilers and he had been playing on the top line when he got injured. Placing Hendricks on waivers opened a roster spot for the Oilers to recall Andrew Miller.

Matt Hendricks
Dupuis (lower-body) is on the ice for the Penguins morning skate.

Dupuis continues to skate with the Penguins as he nears a return from a lower-body injury. Today was his first gameday skate which a great sign he is on the verge of playing. Daniel Sprong will likely lose his roster spot when Dupuis is healthy.

Pascal Dupuis
Mason will start on Tuesday vs. Dallas.

Mason missed the last two games due to a personal matter, but will be back in the cage tonight vs. the Stars. In his last start, Mason was pulled after allowing four goals on eight shots, but he said he wasn’t in the game mentally because of the family matter. He will look to get back on track tonight, but it will not be easy against a Stars team who is averaging a league-high 3.80 goals per game.

Steve Mason
Colborne (thumb) will be a game-time decision on Tuesday.

Colborne has missed the first five games of the season after suffering a thumb injury in the preseason. He skated on a line with Josh Jooris and Markus Granlund in practice on Monday and is listed as a game-time decision for Tuesday.

Joe Colborne
Ramo will start in goal on Tuesday vs. Washington.

Ramo allowed two goals on 29 shots in the Flames loss in Winnipeg on Friday. Ramo has lost each of his first two starts of the season while allowing seven goals on 73 shots (.904 SV%). Things will not get any easier for Ramo on Tuesday—he faces a Washington team who is averaging 3.25 goals per game through four games.

Karri Ramo
Franson is day-to-day with an undisclosed injury.

Franson missed Monday’s practice with a maintenance day. He is battling an undisclosed injury and is questionable for Wednesday’s game vs. the Maple Leafs. If Franson is unable to play, expect Carlo Colaiacovo to be inserted into the lineup.

Cody Franson
Price will be in goal on Tuesday vs. St. Louis.

Price made 21 saves on 22 shots in the Canadiens 4-1 win over the Red Wings on Saturday. Price has started the season 5-0-0 with a 1.20 GAA and .957 SV% and his defence of his Vezina Trophy has started off fabulously. On Tuesday he will take on a Blues team who is third in the NHL in scoring with 3.50 goals per game.

Carey Price
Schneider starts on Tuesday vs. the Coyotes.

Schneider made 26 saves on 27 shots in the Devils’ 2-1 shootout win over the Rangers on Sunday. Schneider has had a strong start to the season, posting a 1.62 GAA and .945 SV% in three starts. On Tuesday he will look to keep his strong start going against a Coyotes team who is averaging 3.20 goals per game.

Cory Schneider
Allen starts Tuesday vs. the Canadiens.

Allen allowed three goals on 34 shots in the Blues win in Vancouver on Friday. Allen has allowed a combined six goals on 53 shots (.887 SV%) in his first two starts of the season. Allen will be back in goal on Tuesday and he will be in tough as he goes head-to-head with Carey Price.

Jake Allen
Bennett (upper-body) returned to practice on Monday.

Bennett missed Saturday’s game vs. the Oilers, but was back at practice on Monday, which suggests that he will be back in the lineup on Tuesday vs. the Capitals. Bennett skated on the second line with Mikael Backlund and Jiri Hudler. The 19-year-old has one assist in four games this season.
