Niemi was the first goalie off of the ice for the Sharks.

Niemi gave up four goals on 36 shots in the Sharks 5-2 loss to the Senators on Monday. Niemi has dropped four of his last five starts while posting a 3.39 GAA and .891 SV%. Niemi is 7-1-0 with a 1.83 GAA and .940 SV% in eight career starts at Joe Louis Arena.

Antti Niemi
Pavelec is the Jets likely starter.

Pavelec made 33 saves on 34 shots in the Jets 4-1 victory over the Jets on Monday. He was given Tuesday night off, but he will be back in goal tonight vs. the Canadiens. Pavelec has won five straight starts while posting a 0.98 GAA, .967 SV% and one shutout. Tonight he will take on a Canadiens team who have won three of their last four, but will give Carey Price the night off.

Ondrej Pavelec
Andersen is the Ducks likely starter for Thursday.

Andersen was pulled after allowing three goals on seven shots in the Ducks loss to the Rangers on Sunday. John Gibson struggled on Sunday and Tuesday, so the Ducks will go with Andersen tonight in Boston. Andersen has gone 2-3-0 with a 2.90 GAA and .876 SV% in his last five starts.

Frederik Andersen
Bjugstad (lower-body) will not play on Thursday.

Bjugstad did not travel to Toronto, so he won’t play tonight and could miss the entire road trip. The Panthers have a back-to-back on the weekend so if Bjugstad doesn’t join the team on the trip, Vincent Trocheck will stay in the lineup through the weekend.

Nick Bjugstad
Luongo is expected to start on Thursday.

Luongo allowed four goals on 25 shots in the Panthers 4-3 loss to the Lightning on Tuesday. He has won two of three while posting a 1.96 GAA and .924 SV% since returning from his shoulder injury. Tonight will be his third start of the season against the Maple Leafs—Bobby Lu has gone 2-0-0 with a 2.43 GAA and .914 SV% in the first two meetings.

Roberto Luongo
Hammond will start Thursday vs. the Rangers.

Hammond allowed two goals on 31 shots in the Senators win over the Sharks on Tuesday. We’ll just keep updating his outrageous numbers…Hammond is now 14-0-1 with a 1.67 GAA and .946 SV% since being recalled. Despite being nearly unbeatable, he draws a tough matchup tonight against a Rangers team who have won seven of their last nine.

Andrew Hammond
Datsyuk (lower-body) will not play on Thursday.

Datsyuk will miss his fifth straight game with a lower-body injury. He was on the ice for the morning skate, but did not take part in line rushes. Monitor his status heading into the first game of their back-to-back on Saturday.

Pavel Datsyuk
Howard gets the nod against San Jose.

Howard gave up five goals on 22 shots in the Red Wings 5-4 OT loss to the Coyotes on Tuesday. After two great outings, Tuesday was rough, but Mike Babcock will not hesitate to go back to Howie vs. the Sharks. San Jose has lost four of their last five, making Howard a decent option despite the fact he is 3-4-1 with a 3.15 GAA and .895 SV% in March.

Jimmy Howard
Krejci (knee) is "probable" to return to the lineup on Thursday.

Krejci has been sidelined since February 20th, but it looks like he will be back in tonight vs. the Ducks. Krejci will skate on the Bruins top-line with Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand as well as play on the top power-play unit. It has been rough season for Krejci, but he makes for a nice playoff addition.

David Krejci
Rask is expected to start vs. the Ducks.

Rask was pulled after allowing four goals on 12 shots in the Bruins loss to the Lightning on Sunday. Rask is on a personal four-game losing skid while posting a 3.44 GAA and .887 SV% over that span. Tonight he takes on a Ducks team who have lost their last two games while allowing a combined 12 goals.

Tuukka Rask
Holtby will be between the pipes vs. New Jersey.

Holtby allowed two goals on 23 shots in the Capitals loss in Winnipeg on Saturday. He has won three of his last four games while posting a 1.72 GAA, .941 SV% and one shutout. Tonight will be his fifth start of the season against the Devils—he has gone 3-1-0 with a 1.01 GAA and .964 SV% in the first four meetings.

Braden Holtby
Hackett gets the nod vs. the Coyotes.

Hackett allowed three goals on 43 shots in the Sabres loss in Nashville last Saturday. Hackett has gone 0-3-0 with a 4.33 GAA and .893 SV% in three games since being recalled. Tonight he makes for an OK option with the Coyotes in town.

Matthew Hackett
Halak starts Thursday vs. the Kings.

Halak made 31 saves on 32 shots in the Islanders 2-1 loss to Minnesota on Tuesday. Halak is 2-2-2 with a 1.82 GAA and .937 SV% in his last six outings. Tonight he will face a Kings team who have also lost four of their last six. Halak is 20-9-1 with a 2.44 GAA and .915 SV% at home this season.
