The Blackhawks have reportedly recalled Teuvo Teravainen from Rockford (AHL).

After losing Patrick Kane for what could be the remainder of the season, the Hawks made their first move to try and replace that hole, by recalling Teravainen. The 20-year-old has two goals and two assists in 15 games with the Blackhawks this season. While in Rockford, he has 25 points (6G / 19A) in 39 games.

Holtby is probable to start Wednesday vs. the Penguins.

Holtby gave up three goals on 28 shots in the Capitals 3-2 loss to the Flyers on Sunday. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Holtby in the Capitals. Tonight he is expected to face Pittsburgh for the fourth time this season—he has dominated them so far, going 3-0-0 with a 0.33 GAA, .989 SV% and two shutouts.

Braden Holtby
Mason (lower-body) will dress on Thursday; unlikely to start.

Anthony Stolarz was reassigned to Lehigh Valley this morning, which means that Mason is healthy enough to back-up Rob Zepp at the very least on Thursday. Flyers GM Ron Hextall said it is unlikely that Mason starts, but we will find out for sure on Thursday.

Steve Mason
Girgensons left Tuesday’s game with a foot injury and did not return.

Girgensons took a James Wisniewski slap-shot off of his right foot and was forced to leave the ice and did not return. It did not appear that Girgensons was able to put any weight on the foot, which is obviously not a good sign. Coach Ted Nolan is concerned that Girgensons injury could end his season, but he will await the official word from the Sabres medical staff.

Zemgus Girgensons
Kane is out indefinitely with an upper-body injury.

Kane crashed shoulder first into the boards after being pushed from behind by Panthers defenseman Alex Petrovic. Kane immediately left the ice and did not return. There is speculation that Kane could miss more than a month with a clavicle injury, but the Blackhawks have not released an official injury update. Kane was tied for the league lead in points and is irreplaceable. However, a if he misses significant time, Patrick Sharp will be leaned on more heavily to produce offensively.

Patrick Kane
Quick leads the Kings onto the ice for warmups.

Quick made 31 saves on 32 shots in the Kings win in San Jose on Saturday. Quick has been superb recently, winning his last seven consecutive starts while posting a 1.86 GAA and .934 SV%. Tonight he will face Detroit for the second time this season—he made 30 saves in a 5-2 loss in the first meeting.

Jonathan Quick
The Wild have acquired Sean Bergenheim and a 7th round pick from the Panthers for 3rd round pick.

Bergenheim has been the subject of trade talks for some time now. He has been a healthy scratch for the last seven games and has scored eight goals and 10 assists (18 points) in 39 games with the Panthers. The Wild are ready to make a playoff push and Bergenheim should be able to fill in for Jason Zucker.

Sean Bergenheim
Rinne leads the Predators onto the ice for warmups.

Rinne allowed two goals on 33 shots in the Saturday’s shootout loss to the Flyers. Rinne has dropped two in a row, but he should be able to get back in the win column tonight with Colorado in town. He posted a 26-save shutout in their first meeting and has gone 22-3-1 with a 1.83 GAA and .933 SV% at Bridgestone Arena this season.

Pekka Rinne
Varlamov leads the Avalanche onto the ice for warmups.

Varlamov allowed four goals on 32 shots in the Avs win over the Lightning on Sunday. Varlamov has won four of his last five while registering a 2.16 GAA and .913 SV%. Tonight he will face the Predators for the third time this season—he has gone 1-0-1 with a 1.98 GAA and .935 SV% in the first two.

Semyon Varlamov
Enroth leads the Stars onto the ice for warmups.

Enroth allowed six goals on 35 shots in the Stars loss to the Wild on Sunday. Despite the terrible outing the Stars will go back to Enroth tonight in Winnipeg. He has not faced the Jets yet this season, but he will look to get his first win with the Stars after going 0-2-0 with a 4.01 GAA and .865 SV% in his first three appearances.

Jhonas Enroth
Hammond will start on Wednesday.

Hammond made 21 saves on 22 shots in the Senators 4-1 win over the Panthers on Saturday. He has won each of his first two NHL starts while turning aside 63 of 66 shots (.955 SV%) in the process. He will make a third straight start tonight in Anaheim—The Ducks have won three in a row while outscoring their opponent 12-7.

Andrew Hammond
Bonino (lower-body) is on the ice for warmups; will play.

Bonino has missed the last seven games, but will be back in the lineup tonight vs. the Bruins. He will centre the Canucks second line with Shawn Matthias and Radim Vrbata on his wings. In 52 games this season, he has 11 goals and 14 assists (25 points).
