Corey Crawford
Mitchell (undisclosed) practiced on Sunday; should return Tuesday.

Mitchell has been sidelined with an undisclosed injury since December 15th. With Mikhail Grigorenko and Phil Varone being sent to the AHL on Saturday, it opens the door for Mitchell to return Tuesday vs. Detroit.

Torrey Mitchell
Gionta (concussion) returned to practice on Sunday.

Gionta has been sidelined with a concussion since December 21st. He has missed the last nine games, but returned to the ice this morning. His return to practice suggests that he could be back in the lineup on Tuesday vs. the Red Wings.

Brian Gionta
Toffoli is out indefinitely with mononucleosis.

Toffoli was a late scratch from Saturday’s game vs. the Jets because of mono. There is no timetable for his return, but he is expected to miss at least two weeks. Mono can be tough, because you can lose a substantial amount of weight and strength.

Tyler Toffoli
Mason will miss one week with a knee injury.

Mason left Saturday’s game with a knee injury and did not return. Mason underwent an MRI, that did not reveal any significant damage and Mason is expected to miss a week. Ray Emery will become the starter and Rob Zepp will be recalled from the Phantoms.

Steve Mason
Howard is out indefinitely with a groin injury.

Howard had to be stretchered off of the ice after suffering a groin injury less than two minutes into Saturday’s loss to the Capitals. He will head back to Detroit to undergo tests to determine the severity of his injury. Petr Mrazek will serve as the Red Wings’ starter and another goalie will have to be recalled to back him up with Jonas Gustavsson still out with a shoulder injury.

Jimmy Howard
Quick leads the Kings onto the ice for warmups.

Quick allowed four goals on 26 shots in the Kings loss to the Rangers on Thursday. He has dropped four of his last five games while allowing 13 goals on just 87 shots (.851 SV%). Things have not been easy for Quick lately, but he draws a solid matchup vs. a Jets team who have lost four of five as well.

Jonathan Quick
Lack leads the Canucks onto the ice for warmups.

Lack surrendered two goals on 23 shots in the Canucks win over the Islanders on Tuesday. Ryan Miller is under the weather, so Lack will start tonight vs. the Flames. Lack has gone 1-3-1 with a 2.60 GAA and .903 SV% at home this season.

Eddie Lack
Ortio leads the Flames onto the ice for warmups.

Jonas Hiller got lit up last night, so Ortio will make his season debut. He has gone 17-8-1 with a 2.52 GAA and .916 SV% with Adirondack (AHL) this season. He was 4-4-0 with a 2.51 GAA and .891 SV% with Calgary last season.
