Rask allowed two goals on 30 shots in the Bruins loss to the Blue Jackets on Saturday. The loss snapped a four-game winning streak for Rask, who looks like he will start the first game of their back-to-back tonight in Dallas. He has been a miserable 5-6-2 with a 2.86 GAA and .907 SV% on the road this season.
Emery surrendered two goals on 20 shots after relieving Rob Zepp yesterday afternoon. In his last four appearances he has allowed 11 goals on 55 shots (.800 SV%). Tonight he will get the nod vs. the Penguins, so it would probably be wise to avoid spot-starting him.
Richardson will miss his second straight game with a lower-body injury that he suffered in Friday’s game in Carolina. He was hit by a shot from teammate Chris Tanev. There was a chance he could of returned tonight, but he decided not to push it and will wait until after the All Star break.
For the first time since suffering an upper-body injury back on December 13th, Trouba took line rushes in practice this morning. This is a positive sign that Trouba could be available for tomorrow’s game vs. the Blue Jackets. However, with the All Star break looming, the Jets could elect to rest Trouba for another week.
Fleury was yanked after allowing four goals on 17 shots in the Penguins loss to the Rangers on Monday. He has allowed nine goals on 51 shots (.824 SV%) in his last two starts (both losses). He was given Tuesday night off, but will be between the pipes vs. a Chicago team who are 3-4-0 in their last seven.
Kuemper has not dressed since January 2nd because of a lower-body injury. He will dress tonight, but is also expected to be assigned to Iowa for a conditioning stint during the All Star break. He will have to battle with Dubnyk for playing time after the break.
The Wild were hopeful that Granlund would be able to play tonight, but he was not medically cleared, so look for him to return after the All Star break in Edmonton.
Greiss allowed one goal on 14 shots after replacing Marc-Andre Fleury in Sunday’s loss to the Rangers. He comes into tonight at 4-2-2 with a 2.53 GAA and .919 SV% in eight starts this season. He will face a banged up Flyers team who have lost three of four.
Dubnyk allowed three goals on 23 shots in the Wild’s 3-1 loss to the Blue Jackets last night. Despite the loss, he will start in both games of the back-to-back with the Wild in Detroit tonight. He is 2-1-0 with a 1.35 GAA, .940 SV% and one shutout in three starts since being traded to Minnesota.
Hutton was yanked after giving up three goals on four shots in the Predators loss to the Red Wings on Saturday. It was an ugly night, but there were some funny bounces and Hutton was not to blame. He will get a chance to bounce back tonight, but it won’t be easy as he gets set to take on the Canadiens in Montreal.
Miller allowed a single goal on 24 shots in the Canucks win in Florida last night. Despite the back-to-back, it looks like Miller will start again tonight, in the Canucks last game before the All Star break. He has won three in a row while posting a 0.33 GAA, .988 SV% and two shutouts. He is as hot as they come, but does have a scary matchup tonight in Tampa Bay.
Lehtonen turned aside 38 of 41 shots in the Stars 6-3 win over the Blackhawks on Sunday. He has been under siege as of late, but has made 66 saves on 73 shots (.904 SV%) in winning efforts in his last two starts. Dallas is not good defensively, which will hurt Lehtonen’s numbers, but he continues to rack up wins.
Mrazek was pulled after allowing three goals on seven shots in the Red Wings 6-4 win over the Sabres on Sunday. Despite the rough outing, the Red Wings will go back to Mrazek tonight vs. Minnesota. Mrazek is 4-1-0 with a 2.29 GAA and .914 SV% in his last five starts.
Price missed Saturday’s game with an upper-body injury, but will return to the crease tonight vs. the Predators. He allowed two goals on 16 shots in a win over the Blue Jackets in his last start. He comes in at 13-5-1 with a 2.16 GAA and .928 SV% at the Bell Centre this season.
Wingels, who had appeared in all 47 games so far this season, was injury on a slash in the third period of last night’s loss to the Devils. There is no word on the nature or severity of the injury, but expect a more detailed report to come in the coming days.
Braun, who had appeared in all 47 games this season, left at the 6:48 mark in the second period of last night’s game vs. New Jersey. Expect a more detailed update on Braun’s injury in the next 24 hours.
Fasth stopped 35 of 37 shots that he faced in the Oilers shootout win over the Panthers on Saturday. It was one of Fasth’s best games this season, which earned him a second straight start tonight in Washington. Despite the strong outing, we would like to see some consistency out of Fasth before he can be trusted in fantasy circles.
The Panthers played their last game before the All Star break on Monday, but San Antonio has three games this week, so they’ve sent Trocheck down to get some playing time over the break.
Percy, 21, had three assists in eight games with the Maple Leafs earlier in the season. With Toronto struggling mightily as of late, they recall Percy to provide a change of pace on the blue line.
Leivo, 21, has been recalled in the midst of a terrible slump for the Maple Leafs. He has registered one goal in eight games with the Maple Leafs this season. His recall is likely just a way for the Leafs to shake things up.
