The Bruins have sent Zach Trotman to Providence (AHL).

Trotman had two assists with a minus-1 rating while averaging 15:16 TOI in nine games during his recall. It was a good stint for the 24-year-old, who has been returned to the AHL because Kevan Miller is set to return from a shoulder injury.

Zach Trotman
Rask leads the Bruins onto the ice for warmups.

Rask stopped 33 of 34 shots in the Bruins 2-1 victory over the Hurricanes on Saturday. He has won four of his last five with a 2.25 GAA and .919 SV%. He is elite, but tonight’s matchup is real tough. The Blues have won 10 of their last 11 games.

Tuukka Rask
Talbot will start on Wednesday.

Talbot allowed five goals on 31 shots in the Rangers 5-4 loss to the Maple Leafs on November 8th. The Rangers are 1-2-2 in their last five games behind Henrik Lundqvist, so Talbot will get a chance to pick up his first win of the season tonight vs. the Flyers. Philly ranks third in the NHL in scoring, but are a .500 team, making Talbot a decent spot-start option in a quiet night in the NHL.

Cam Talbot
Calvert (upper-body) was activated from IR, but will not play Tuesday.

Calvert has missed the last four games with an upper-body injury but will not return to the lineup tonight despite being 100%. The Blue Jackets are rewarding a number of players who have played well lately, but Calvert could be back in the lineup on Friday.

Matt Calvert
Wilson will undergo season-ending shoulder surgery Wednesday, and he has likely played his last game with the team.

Wilson, 27, is a pending unrestricted free agent who can't seem to remain healthy. He has played in just three of 19 games this season, 28 of 82 last season and 12 of 48 in the lockout-shorted campaign of 2013. Colorado has just six available defensemen, with Brad Stuart (hamstring) also out of action.

Ryan Wilson
Berra is expected to start Thursday vs. Washington.

Berra allowed four goals on 27 shots in a loss to the Flyers on November 8th. He was awarded back-to-back starts, but it did not turn out so well for the Avs, but he will be back between the pipes tonight vs. Washington. The Capitals tied for 9th in scoring (2.83 G/PG) so there should be better spot-start options out there on this busy Thursday.

Reto Berra
Quick expected to start for the Kings.

Quick did not take part in the Kings optional this morning, so it looks like he will get the call tonight vs. the Panthers. Quick is fresh off of a win over the Ducks on Saturday, where he had 27-saves in the OT win. He has won three of five with a 1.92 GAA and .936 SV% and is a must-start at home vs. Florida.

Jonathan Quick
Lehtonen gets the nod in goal for the Stars.

Lehtonen allowed six goals on 47 shots in Sunday’s loss to the Blackhawks. He was peppered all game long and after his most recent performance, he sits with a 2.90 GAA and .908 SV% on the season. He should make for a quality start tonight vs. the Hurricanes.

Kari Lehtonen
Holtby starts Tuesday for the Capitals.

Holtby stopped 27 of 28 shots in a loss to the Devils on Friday. He was given Saturday night off, so he will be back between the pipes tonight in Arizona. Holtby comes into tonight with a 3-2-0 record, 2.20 GAA and .928 SV% away from Washington this season.

The Dallas Stars have recalled Jyrki Jokipakka from Texas (AHL).

Jokipakka, 23, has no points with a minus-3 rating in three games with the Stars during his last recall. He has one goal in nine games with Texas. He has been recalled after Kevin Connauton was claimed off of waivers by Columbus.

Jyrki Jokipakka
Dupuis (illness) will not play on Tuesday.

It was originally expected that Dupuis was going to be held out of tonight’s game because of an injury, but after today’s morning skate, head coach Mike Johnston said Dupuis is “not feeling well”. Consider him day-to-day.

Pascal Dupuis
The Blue Jackets have claimed Kevin Connauton off of waivers from Dallas.

Connauton, 24, was Vancouver’s third pick, 83rd overall, in the 2009 NHL Draft. He has registered one goal and nine assists for 10 points with 22 penalty minutes in 44 career NHL games, all during the past two seasons with the Stars. He has collected 0-2-2 with six penalty minutes and is +4 in eight games this season.

Kevin Connauton
Semin (upper-body) returns to the Hurricanes lineup on Tuesday.

Semin missed the last two games with an upper-body injury, but will be back in tonight vs. the Stars. It has been a rough start to the year for Semin who has just five assists and a minus-6 rating though 13 games.
