

Greiss allowed three goals on 35 shots in the Islanders loss to the Capitals on February 18th. Jaroslav Halak started the last four games, but Greiss will go tonight in Vancouver. Greiss is 6-3-0 with a 2.26 GAA and .932 SV% on the road this season and he draws a strong matchup tonight in Vancouver—the Canucks have lost five of their last seven contests.

Talbot stopped 36 of 37 shots in the Oilers win over the Islanders on Sunday. The win snapped a six-game losing streak for Talbot, who will start his eighth straight game tonight in Buffalo. Talbot has struggled on the road, posting a 4-10-4 record in cities not named Edmonton, but he draws a solid matchup tonight vs. a Buffalo team that has lost three of four.



Varlamov surrendered four goals on 27 shots in the Avs’ 5-3 loss to the Red Wings in Saturday’s outdoor game. Varlamov has lost two in a row while allowing a combined eight goals on 55 shots (.855 SV%). Tonight will be his third start against the Wild—he has gone 1-2-0 with a 2.65 GAA and .914 SV% in the first three meetings.

Dubnyk allowed one goal on 18 shots in the Wild’s win over the Panthers on Sunday. The win snapped a brief two-game losing skid for Dubnyk, who finished February at 4-6-0 with a 2.90 GAA and .900 SV%. Tonight he faces the Avalanche for the third time this season—he is 1-0-0 with a 2.64 GAA and .882 SV% in the first two (he was injured in the second).

Markstrom gave up five goals on 33 shots in the Canucks loss in Calgary on February 19th. Ryan Miller started the last three games, but Markstrom will be between the pipes tonight vs. the Islanders. Markstrom has lost two in a row while allowing a combined 10 goals on 67 shots (.851 SV%). He has not faced the Islanders this season, but has gone 4-5-1 with a 2.85 GAA and .902 SV% on home ice.

Crawford allowed turned aside 28 of 30 shots in the Blackhawks’ win over the Capitals on Sunday. Crawford has had a great season, but has lost five of his last seven (2-4-1) while posting a 3.17 GAA and .908 SV%. The Blackhawks and Crawford are also a different team on the road than they are on home ice—Crawford is 14-8-1 with a 2.89 GAA and .909 SV% in arenas that aren’t the United Center.

Bernier allowed four goals on 36 shots in the Maple Leafs’ loss in Montreal on Saturday. Garret Sparks started on Monday, but the Leafs will come back with Bernier tonight in Washington. Bernier was lit up for four goals on 23 shots in a 4-2 loss to the Capitals back in November and tonight they come in having won six of their last eight—Bernier is as risky as they come.

Rinne stopped all 28 shots that he faced in the Predators shutout win over the Blues on Saturday. Rinne has won three consecutive starts while posting a 0.65 GAA and .979 SV%. Tonight he faces a Stars team on the tail-end of a back-to-back—Rinne allowed five goals on 32 shots in a 5-1 loss in their first meeting.



Lack surrendered three goals on 21 shots in the Hurricanes loss in Ottawa on February 18th. Cam Ward started the last six games, but Lack will go tonight in New Jersey. Lack was 1-2-0 with a 2.70 GAA and .882 SV% in February. Tonight he takes on a Devils team that has lost five of their last six games.

Ortio allowed five goals on 25 shots in the Flames loss to the Senators on Saturday. Jonas Hiller started last night in Philadelphia, so Ortio will start the second game of the back-to-back. Ortio has lost his last three starts while posting a 3.07 GAA and .897 SV%. Tonight he faces a Bruins team that is coming off of a loss on Sunday and that made a few changes during yesterday’s deadline.



Pavelec gave up four goals on 26 shots in the Jets loss to Dallas on February 23rd. Michael Hutchinson started the last two games, but Pavelec will be back in goal tonight vs. Florida. Pavelec has gone 1-2-1 with a 2.94 GAA and .883 SV% since returning to the Jets crease on February 13th.

Grubauer allowed one goal on 16 shots after replacing Braden Holtby in the Capitals loss to the Canadiens last Wednesday. With two back-to-backs this week, this will be Grubauer’s first of two starts and it will come against the Maple Leafs. Grubauer has gone 3-3-1 with a 2.00 GAA and .930 SV% on home ice this season and his matchup tonight is worthy of a spot-start.
