Talbot allowed two goals on 14 shots in the Oilers loss to the Panthers on Sunday. He has lost hie last two games after allowing a combined five goals on 40 shots (.875 SV%). Tonight he gets the call in San Jose—Talbot has gone 2-6-2 with a 3.01 GAA and .901 SV% in cities not name Edmonton this season.

Grigorenko played just 7:48 on Tuesday and is a minus-3 with one goal in his last eight contests. He will be replaced by Chris Wagner.

Wagner has just three goals in 24 games with the Avalanche this season and tonight will be his first game since December 12th. With Wagner back in, Mikhail Grigorenko will be a healthy scratch.

Schneider allowed one goal on 18 shots in the Devils win in Minnesota on Sunday. Keith Kinkaid got the call on Tuesday, so they’ll go back to Schneider tonight in Colorado. The Avalanche are an inconsistent team, but have the ability to score in bunches. Schneider is 11-5-2 with a 1.98 GAA and .935 SV% on the road.

Lack is 4-3-2 with a 2.93 GAA and .894 SV% on the road this season and 5-0-0 with a 1.74 GAA and .935 SV% in his career against the Blues.

Miller allowed four goals on 42 shots in the Canucks loss in Florida on December 20th. He has missed the last eight games with groin strain, but will start Thursday in Washington. Miller has had a tough season—he comes into Thursday with a 10-11-6 record, 2.74 GAA and .909 SV% on the season. There are better options than a netminder vs. the Caps.
