The Predators have recalled Simon Moser from Milwaukee (AHL).

Moser made his NHL debut on Saturday vs. St. Louis before getting sent down on Sunday. He is back with the Predators and could get in the lineup on Thursday. He has eight goals and 17 assists (25 points) in 40 games with Milwaukee this season.

Rask gets the start for the Bruins.

Rask allowed three goals on 18 shots before being yanked in Thursday's loss to the Canadiens. Everyone is due for a bad outing every now and then but Rask is still one of the NHL's elite and is a must-start regardless of his matchup. He was pulled after giving up four goals on 23 shots the first time he faced Vancouver.

Tuukka Rask
Neuvirth is the Capitals confirmed starter.

Neuvirth gave up five goals on 30 shots in a 6-5 OT win over the Red Wings on Sunday. His numbers don't look great, but he made the saves he needed to en route to his fourth win of the season. Tonight he will face the Islanders at home. Neuvirth is 4-2-0 with a 3.05 GAA and .902 SV% in Washington this season.

Michal Neuvirth
Nabokov in goal for the Islanders.

Nabokov allowed three goals on 36 shots in a second straight loss to the Rangers on Friday. He has posted a 2.53 GAA and .924 SV% in two starts since returning from his leg injury. The first time he faced the Capitals, they lit him up for six goals on 39 shots.

Evgeni Nabokov
Thomas starts for the Panthers.

Thomas gave up four goals on 30 shots in a loss to the Blue Jackets on Saturday. He has allowed at least three goals and a total of 28 goals in his last seven starts (4.00 GA/game). Tonight he will face a Maple Leafs team that he is familiar with from his days in Boston.

Khudobin is practising in the 'starter's crease'.

Khudobin stopped 27 of 28 shots in a win over the Blues on Friday. Khudobin was named the first star of the month of January going 10-4-0 with a 2.19 GAA and .927 SV%. He will probably see his starts cut a little bit with the return of Cam Ward, but as long as he continues to play well he gives the Hurricanes the best chance to win.

Anton Khudobin
Neuvirth was the first goalie off of the ice at Capitals morning skate.

Neuvirth gave up five goals on 30 shots in a 6-5 OT win over the Red Wings on Sunday. His numbers don't look great, but he made the saves he needed to en route to his fourth win of the season. Tonight it looks like he will face the Islanders at home. Neuvirth is 4-2-0 with a 3.05 GAA and .902 SV% in Washington this season.

Michal Neuvirth
Sedin (finger/ribs) returns to the Canucks lineup tonight.

Sedin missed the last six games, but he will suit up for Monday's tilt with the Red Wings. Sedin has 40 points (9G / 31A) and a plus-7 rating in 50 games this season. Daniel will be excited to get his brother back on his line tonight, he recorded just one assist in the six games that Henrik missed.

Henrik Sedin
The Canadiens have returned Christian Thomas to Hamilton (AHL).

Thomas averaged 7:11 TOI and was a minus-1 with one shot in two games with the Habs. With Montreal trading away a defenseman for a forward (Dale Weise) today, Thomas' services were no longer required.

Christian Thomas
Wild head coach Mike Yeo said there is a very good chance that Spurgeon plays on Tuesday.

Spurgeon has missed 14 games with a broken foot, but it sounds like he will be back in tomorrow. There was talk that he may return this past Saturday but that never ended up coming together. He has one goal and 11 assists in 43 games this season.

Jared Spurgeon
Smith gets the call on Tuesday.

Smith allowed one goal on 24 shots in a win over the Penguins on Saturday. For those of you who were brave enough to test the matchup, you were rewarded with a great game. He enters play on Tuesday with 12-7-3 record, a 2.72 GAA and .908 SV% at home this season.

Mike Smith
Halak gets the start on Tuesday.

Halak gave up two goals on 30 shots in a loss to the Hurricanes on Friday. He finished January at 6-2-0 with a 1.70 GAA and .939 SV%. It was an extremely good month for the Slovakian Olympian, who has seen the vast majority of starts over Brian Elliott lately. Roll him out vs. the Senators with confidence.
