Drewiske was expected to miss 5-6 months, but it has only been three which is a good sign in his recovery. He has yet to suit up in a game for the Habs this season.

Elliott gets the start in the second game of a Friday-Saturday back-to-back.

Elliott was pulled after surrendering three goals on nine shots in a 7-1 loss to the Devils on January 21. He has lost each of his last three starts while giving up eight goals on just 44 shots (.818 SV%). Halak gets the net on Friday.

Halak stopped all 23 shots he faced in a 3-0 shutout win over the Devils on Tuesday. It was his third straight victory and fourth shutout of the season. During his three-game winning streak he has registered a 1.31 GAA and .957 SV%. He heads into Carolina with a 11-3-1 record away from home this year.

Jaroslav Halak
Howard in goal for the Red Wings on Friday.

Howard missed the last four games with a knee injury that he suffered last Monday against the Blues. Before getting inured, Howard was playing his best hockey of the season. In three and a half games he had stopped 143 of 150 shots (.953 SV%) winning two out of three and leaving early in the 4-1 loss to St. Louis. The Red Wings are decimated by injuries, so Howie will need to re-gain that top-form on Friday.

Jimmy Howard
The Stars have signed forward Ryan Garbutt to a three-year contract extension.

Garbutt, 28, has posted a career-high 18 points (10G / 8A) in 46 games for Dallas this season. Amongst team leaders, he is third in hits (81), fourth in shots (105), and sixth in both goals (10) and plus/minus rating (+4).

Scrivens starts, straight from the coach's Twitter.

Scrivens stopped 34 of 35 shots in a 5-1 win over the Predators on Sunday. It was his first win as an Oiler and he will look for number-2 tonight vs. San Jose. In his only other start vs. San Jose this season (with L.A) he stopped 38 of 40 shots in a 3-2 shootout loss.

Ben Scrivens
Nabokov expected to start in goal at Yankee Stadium.

Islanders head coach Jack Capuano won’t be revealing his lineup until 5:30 p.m EST, but Nabokov is likely going to be between the pipes. Nabokov has not started since January 6, a night he stopped seven of eight shots before leaving the games with a quad injury. He made a brief 11 minute and 44 seconds appearance on Monday after replacing Kevin Poulin. He only faced one shot, but he stopped it… So that's a good sign. It is hard to predict how and outdoor game will go, especially under the lights.

Evgeni Nabokov
Clarkson took part in his first team practice since undergoing a procedure on his elbow.

Clarkson had a procedure ton remove a Bursa Sac and had been skating on his own, before joining his teammates today. However he only last about 15 minutes with the squad before leaving for the dressing room. He remains OUT, until he can fully participate with the team.

David Clarkson
Timonen (lower-body) left Tuesday's game in the second period and did not return.

Timonen was injured after blocking a shot against the Red Wings on Tuesday and will not practice Wednesday. However, he will travel with the team on their three-game west coast road-trip. That is good news as far as the severity of the injury is concerned. If it was serious injury, he would be held back in Philly, expect a full update later today.

Kimmo Timonen
Weber left Tuesday's game early in the third period and did not return.

Weber had recorded his 23rd assist earlier in the contest, but retired to the dressing room after playing just 17:45 (averages 26:43). There is no word on the nature or severity of Weber's injury, but we should get an update today. Weber is currently tied for NHL lead in goals for defensemen with 13 and his 36 points is good for fifth.

Shea Weber
Quick leads the Kings onto the ice for warmups and gets the start as expected.

Quick stopped all 23 shots that he faced in a 1-0 shutout win over the Sharks on Monday. He will start tonight in the second game of the back-to-back set. Since returning from a grade 2 groin strain in early January, Quick has posted a 5-4-2 record, despite a stellar 1.53 GAA and .938 SV%. He will look for his second win of the season over the Coyotes.

Jonathan Quick

He has won four consecutive starts while positing a 2.50 GAA and .903 SV%. This will mark the second straight time he has started both games of a back-to-back in less than seven days.

Anton Khudobin

He has one assist in nine games this season and a total of eight goals and 43 assists (51 points) in 245 career regular season games.
