Rinne will start in goal Wednesday vs. the Sharks.

Rinne allowed two goals on 25 shots in the Predators loss to the Penguins on Saturday. Rinne has enjoyed a strong start to the 2015-16 season, winning five of seven starts with a 1.84 GAA and .932 SV%. Tonight Rinne will face a Sharks team who has lost three of his last five starts while registering 2.20 goals per game.

The Canucks have recalled Alex Biega from Utica (AHL).

Biega, 27, has one assist in five games with Utica this season. He has been recalled because the Canucks will be without Dan Hamhuis for at least the next two games. Biega has one goal in seven career NHL games.

Allen will start Thursday against the Ducks.

Allen stopped all 26 shots that he faced in the Blues shutout win over the Lightning on Tuesday. Allen had allowed three goals in each of his first three starts, but shut the door on Tampa Bay to earn his fist shutout of the year. He earned a second straight start and draws a good matchup vs. the struggling Ducks.

Jones will start Wednesday vs. the Predators.

Jones gave up two goals on 34 shots in the Sharks win over the Hurricanes on Saturday. Jones snapped a two-game losing skid and now sits 5-2-0 with a 1.69 GAA and .940 SV% in his first seven games with the Sharks. On Wednesday he will face a Predators team that is tied for ninth with a 2.88 goals per game so far this season.

Crawford will start in goal on Thursday vs. the Jets.

On Monday, Crawford stopped all 39 shots that he faced in the Blackhawks 1-0 shutout win in overtime. Crawford has now won four in a row and has posted back-to-back shutouts. Crawford has had a brilliant October, having won five of seven starts and posting a 1.57 GAA and .943 SV%. Tonight he will face a Jets team who has lost three of their last four.

Smith (head) is expected to return to the Flames lineup on Wednesday.

Smith has missed the last three games with a head injury, but he is expected to return to the lineup tonight vs. Nashville. Smith has no points while averaging just 6:28 TOI.

Schneider will start Thursday vs. the Flyers.

Schneider allowed three goals on 14 shots in the Devils 3-1 loss to the Blue Jackets on Tuesday. It was an ugly night for Schneider, who saw his four-game winning streak snapped. Despite the loss, the Devils will go back to Schenider tonight in Philly—Schneider enters play at 4-2-1 with a 2.39 GAA and .912 SV%.

Bellemare will miss at least two weeks with a lower-body injury.

Bellemare suffered a lower-body injury on Tuesday and will miss at least the next two weeks or at least the next six or seven games. Bellemare is a very important penalty killer for the Flyers, so this is a big loss at least for the next few weeks. With Bellemare out, Vincent Lecavalier will make his season debut.

Fleury will start Wednesday in Washington.

Fleury gave up one goal on 39 shots in the Penguins 2-1 overtime win over the Predators on Saturday. After losing his first three starts of the year, Fleury has turned it around winning four of his last five while posting a 1.60 GAA and .944 SV%. He will be in tough this evening vs. a Washington squad averaging 4.14 goals per game.

The Lightning have assigned Andrei Vasilevskiy to Syracuse (AHL) on a conditioning stint.

Vasilevskiy returned to practice on Monday after missing the start of the season with a blood clot near his collar bone. He reportedly looked exceptional in practice which is why he has already been sent on a conditioning stint after just two days of practice. Vasilevskiy is expected to make his season debut with Syracuse tonight and should play another game on the stint, before returning to Tampa Bay next week.

Bennett (concussion) will return to the Penguins lineup on Wednesday.

Bennett has missed the last five games with what is believed to be a concussion, but he will be back in the lineup tonight in Washington. Bennett was one of the Penguins most impressive players in the first three games, before he got hurt. He is expected to start on the fourth line, but head coach Mike Johnston said that Bennett will move up and down the lineup.
