Brodie (hand) will be a game-time decision on Wednesday.

Brodie has missed the five nine games of the season with a broken hand, but now he is just over four weeks into a 3-6 week timetable and could return to the lineup tonight. Brodie started practicing on Sunday and was skating alongside Mark Giordano in the morning skate, which is a good sign that he will return. However, he has been officially labeled as a game-time decision so monitor his status during pre-game warmups, which start at 7:00 pm ET.

T.J. Brodie
Jagr is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

Jagr left Tuesday’s game with a lower-body injury and did not return. However, this morning the Panthers said that Jagr could have returned if they needed him to. He will be evaluated on Wednesday and Thursday and could be in the lineup on Friday vs. the Bruins.

Jaromir Jagr
Hiller starts Wednesday vs. the Senators.

Hiller was pulled after he allowed four goals on 21 shots in the Flames loss in the New York on Sunday. It has been an ugly October for Hiller, who has posted a 3.52 GAA and .872 SV% en route to a 2-3-0 record. Tonight he will face a Senators team that his tied for ninth in scoring—averaging 2.88 goals per game.

Jonas Hiller
Methot (concussion) will return to the Senators lineup on Wednesday.

Methot missed the last three games, but will return to the Senators lineup on Wednesday vs. the Flames. He has just one goal in five games this season and despite playing alongside the league’s best offensive defenseman, he is not a good fantasy option right now.

Marc Methot
Bellemare (undisclosed) did not practice on Wednesday; doubtful for Thursday’s game.

Bellemare left Tuesday’s game with an undisclosed injury and did not return. His absence at Wednesday’s practice suggests that he will not be ready to go on Thursday vs. the Devils. If Bellemare can’t play, the Vincent Lecavalier will make his season debut.

Pierre-Edouard Bellemare
Hoffman (lower-body) will not play on Wednesday; targeting a return on Friday in Detroit.

Hoffman will miss his second straight game on Wednesday, but he took part in the morning skate and said he felt good today and is looking to play this weekend. With Hoffman out tonight, Matt Puempel will draw into the lineup, but Hoffman could be back for the Senators back-to-back on Friday and Saturday.

Mike Hoffman
Michalek (undisclosed) took part in the morning skate; expected to play vs. Calgary.

Michalek left Tuesday’s practice after blocking a shot, but he was back on the ice for the morning skate and is expected to play tonight vs. the Flames. Michalek, who will skate with J.G Pageau and Alex Chiasson, has two goals and 19 shots in eight games.

Milan Michalek
Williams (illness) was back on the ice for the morning skate; expected to play vs. Pittsburgh.

Williams missed Tuesday’s practice with an illness but was back on the ice for the morning skate and is expected to be in the lineup tonight vs. the Penguins. Willams has had a nice start to his Capitals’ career having registered one goal and five assists in his first seven games.

Justin Williams
Holtby gets the nod on Wednesday vs. the Penguins.

Holtby allowed two goals on 25 shots in the Capitals win in Vancouver last Thursday. He was given Friday night off, but will be back in between the pipes tonight vs. Pittsburgh. He has won four in a row and five of his first six starts while posting a strong 2.03 GAA and .917 SV%.

Braden Holtby
Pavelec leads the Jets onto the ice for warmups.

Pavelec allowed four goals on 31 shots in the Jets loss to the Lightning on Friday. Michael Hutchinson started on Sunday, but Pavelec will be back in goal tonight having lost each of his last two starts while allowing a combined eight goals. He will face a Kings team who has won five in a row.

Ondrej Pavelec
Getzlaf (appendectomy) will not play tonight; expected to miss 4-12 days.

A rough October has gotten worse for Getzlaf and the Ducks. Getzlaf will sit tonight’s contest out and could miss up to 12 days after he undergoes a non-emergency appendectomy on Wednesday. Look for Rickard Rakell to move up in the lineup with Getzlaf out.

Ryan Getzlaf
Hanzal (lower-body) is not on the ice for warmups; will not play tonight.

Hanzal was listed as a game-time decision after suffering a lower-body injury in Monday’s win over the Maple Leafs. He will not play tonight, which means that Tyler Gaudet will move up in the lineup. Consider Hanzal day-to-day.

Martin Hanzal
Price will be in goal on Tuesday vs. Vancouver.

Price made 49 saves on 52 shots in the Canadiens win over the Maple Leafs on Saturday. It was not a great performance from the Habs, but to no one’s surprise, Price was excellent once again. Price has started the season at 7-0-0 with a 1.29 GAA and .961 SV%. He has been sensational and he will look to lead Montreal to a 10-0-0 start.

Carey Price
Quick will start Tuesday vs. the Jets.

Quick turned aside 26 of 28 shots in the Kings’ win in Edmonton on Sunday. Quick has won four in a row while posting a 0.99 GAA and .966 SV%. Tonight he draws a tough matchup against a Jets team who is 5-2-1 while averaging 3.50 goals per game in their first eight contests.

Jonathan Quick
Miller will start Tuesday vs. the Canadiens.

Miller allowed three goals on 28 shots in the Canucks OT loss to the Red Wings on Saturday. This was Miller’s fourth straight loss—he has posted a 2.98 GAA and .899 SV% in the process. He will have a difficult time get back into the win column tonight with the undefeated Canadiens in town.

Ryan Miller
Niemi will start Tuesday against the Ducks.

Niemi allowed three goals on 19 shots after replacing Kari Lehtonen in the Stars loss to the Panthers on Saturday. Niemi has started his Stars career at 3-1-0 with a 2.37 GAA and .928 SV%. Tonight he will face a Ducks team that he is very familiar with—Anaheim is also the NHL’s lowest scoring team.

Antti Niemi
Bobrovsky starts Tuesday against the Devils.

Bobrovsky allowed three goals on 34 in the Blue Jackets win over the Avalanche on Saturday. Bobrovsky finally won his first game of the season and now sits at 1-6-0 with a 4.45 GAA and .852 SV%. Despite his early season struggles, he looked sharp on Saturday and draws another great matchup tonight vs. the Devils.

Sergei Bobrovsky
Ward will be in goal on Tuesday in Detroit.

Ward stopped all seven shots that he faced after replacing Eddie Lack in Saturday’s loss in San Jose. The Hurricanes long road trip continues tonight in Detroit. This will be Ward’s third start against the Red Wings this season—in his first two outings he has gone 1-1-0 with a 3.55 GAA and .821 SV%.
