Russell (knee) is getting close, probably two or three games away says Bob Hartley.

This is great news for the Flames, Russell has missed the last 12 games and was arguably their best blueliner before hurting his knee. On a team that was outscored 113-88 in the 36 games he played, he was impressively a plus-1. Look for him to come back next Wednesday or Friday if coach Hartley's timetable is correct.

Kris Russell
Ramo starts Saturday in Vancouver.

Ramo surrendered four goals on 34 shots in a loss to the Predators on Tuesday. It was a shady way to follow-up his first shutout of the season. He will meet the Canucks for the first time this season on Saturday. Vancouver has struggled as of late, but starting Ramo in Vancouver is a risky decision to say the least.

Karri Ramo
Neil (lower-body) is expected to return on Saturday.

Neil has been out of the lineup for the last six games, he suffered a lower-body injury on January 30 vs. Washington. He has been a solid contributor of PIMs (99) to go along with five goals and one assist in 42 games.

Chris Neil
Anderson will start vs. the Rangers.

Anderson allowed five goals on 23 shots in a 5-4 OT loss to the Canadiens on Thursday. It was an ugly game for Andy, but he gets an opportunity to bounce back quickly when he faces the Rangers tomorrow. He has yet to lose in regulation in 2014 (3-0-2) while posting a 3.13 GAA and .894 SV%.

Craig Anderson
Price gets the start in Toronto on Saturday.

Price allowed four goals on 44 shots in a 5-4 win over the Senators on Thursday. The Habs established a 3-0 lead 15 minutes in, but found themselves down 4-3 after two. However they were able to edge the Sens out 23 seconds into OT. Against the Maple Leafs this season, Price is 1-1-0 with a 3.02 GAA and .919 SV%.

Carey Price
Klesla has cleared waivers and been assigned to Portland (AHL).

This is the second time this season that Klesla has cleared waivers. He The former 4th overall pick has just four points (1G / 3A) in 25 games with the Coyotes this season. He returns to the AHL where he has one goal and one assist in six games.

Datsyuk (groin) left practice early again this afternoon.

This is the second time this week that Datsyuk has not made it through the full practice. This is obviously not a good sign for Datsyk owners or the Red Wings. He is extremely doubtful to play on Saturday.

The Predators have reassigned Marek Mazanec to Milwaukee (AHL).

With the Predators acquiring Devan Dubnyk on Wednesday, they have sent Mazanec down which leaves them with Carter Hutton and Dubnyk. Mazanec was 8-10-4 with a 2.80 GAA and .902 SV% this season.

Marek Mazanec
Howard gets the nod on Saturday.

Howard stopped 47 of 48 shots in a tough-luck 1-0 loss to the Rangers on Thursday. He has been great in his last two starts, stopping 91 of 93 shots (.979 SV%). On Saturday he will face the Kings again, he just stopped 44 of 45 shots in a 3-1 win in L.A on Saturday.

Jimmy Howard
Talbot gets the start on Saturday.

Talbot has not started since January 4 when he stopped 24 of 25 shots in a win over the Maple Leafs. He has had a great year so far, but Henrik Lundqvist has turned things around lately which will limit Talbot's value going forward. On Saturday he will take on the Senators in Ottawa. He is 6-2-0 with a 1.55 GAA and .941 SV% on the road.

Cam Talbot
Steen (concussion) will be back in the Blues lineup on Saturday.

Steen has missed the last 11 games with a concussion that he suffered on December 21. Despite all the time that he missed, he is still tied for 5th in the NHL with 24 goals. Steen has had a tremendous season and should be activated in all formats for Saturday.
