Brunner (knee) will return to the Devils lineup tonight.

Brunner has missed the last 14 games with a sprained MCL but will slide back onto the Devils' third line with Dainius Zubrus and Patrik Elias tonight. Brunner has 14 points (8G / 5A) with a minus-6 rating and 70 shots on goal in 32 games in his first season with New Jersey.

Damien Brunner
Scrivens is expected to start vs. the Canucks.

Scrivens allowed four goals on 33 shots in a loss to the Wild in his Oilers debut on Thursday. It was the first time all season that he has allowed more than three goals which further proves the point, things are going to be much more difficult in Edmonton. His matchup could be worse, the Canucks have only scored four goals in their last four games and will be without Henrik Sedin and head coach John Tortorella.

Ben Scrivens
Miller gets the call in goal for the Sabres.

Miller allowed three goals on 35 shots in a shootout loss to the Blue Jackets on Saturday. It was his second straight loss and he now sits at 2-1-2 with a 2.11 GAA and .929 SV% in January. He will face the Panthers who rank 28th in the NHL in scoring (2.24 G/PG) but are coming off of a huge 5-1 win over the Penguins last night.

Ryan Miller
Howard (knee) left Monday's 4-1 loss midway through the second period.

Howard had been playing well despite allowing three goals on 25 shots. The Blues were all over the Red Wings for the large majority of Monday's contest and Howard was up to the test, until he was forced from the game with a knee injury. Howard will be reevaluated today. Howie had just started to get his game back on track, so missing any time would be a tough break for he and his fantasy investors. Jonas Gustavsson is expected to return Wednesday against the visiting Chicago Blackhawks, giving the Wings a tandem of Gustavsson and Petr Mrazek.

Jimmy Howard
Talbot will start in goal for the Rangers.

Henrik Lundqvist is ill so Talbot will get the nod vs. the Islanders. Talbot stopped 29 of 30 shots in a 4-1 win over the Senators on Saturday. The win moved Talbot to 10-3-0 with a 1.62 GAA and .940 SV% on the season. He has become one of fantasy's best spot-start options this season and should be considered for a start again tonight. He stopped 22 shots in a 3-2 win over the Isles back on October 29.

Cam Talbot
Holtby does indeed get the start in goal for Washington.

Holtby allowed three goals on 40 shots (.925 SV%) in two consecutive relief appearances last week. With Philipp Grubauer getting sent down on Monday, the Capitals starting gig appears to be Holtby's once again. Tonight he faces a Senators squad who are 6-2-1 in their last nine, but are coming off of back-to-back losses.

Braden Holtby
Holtby was the first goalie off at the Capitals morning skate.

The Bruins have reassigned Zach Trotman to Providence (AHL).

Trotman played 13:19 while recording one shot and two hits in the Bruins loss on Monday. Trotman has skated in 32 games for Providence this season and recorded four goals and seven assists and a team best plus-13 rating.

Zach Trotman
Bobrovsky starts for the Blue Jackets.

Bobrovsky allowed three goals on 29 shots in a win over the Sabres on Saturday. Bobrovsky looks like the guy who won the Vezina Trophy last season. He moved to 5-0 with a 1.74 GAA and .945 SV% since returning from his lower-body injury. He has a decent matchup against a Kings team who rank 23rd in the NHL in scoring (2.44 G/PG) and are coming off of a loss last night.

Sergei Bobrovsky
Voracek left Monday's contest with a hand injury and did not play the the final 5:57.

Voracek will be re-evaluated when the team returned to Philadelphia. The Flyers host Carolina on Tuesday. Voracek’s loss would be huge. He has nine goals and 12 assists for 21 points in his last 19 games. “We’re not sure yet,” coach Craig Berube said. “It’s a loss for sure. He’s a good player and one of our better players. So it’s going to be a loss if he’s out. That happens. People have to step up and play.”

Jakub Voracek
Semyon Varlamov in net against Toronto Maple Leafs Tuesday.

Varlamov allowed four goals on 31 shots in a 5-4 win over the Predators on Saturday. Varlamov is riding a four-game winning streak and has won eight of his last nine outings. Tonight he takes on Toronto for the first time since October 8, he stopped 26 of 27 shots in a 2-1 win that night.

Semyon Varlamov
Bernier leads the Maple Leafs onto the ice for warmups.

Bernier allowed three goals on 33 shots in a 5-3 win over the Canadiens on Saturday. It was his third straight victory and his 16th of the season. Tonight vs. Phoenix will be his 31st start of the season and he enters play tonight 5-7-3 with a 2.35 GAA and .936 SV% on the road.

Jonathan Bernier
Smith leads the Coyotes onto the ice for warmups.

Smith stopped 33 of 35 shots in a win over the Devils on Saturday. After losing nine straight outings, Smith has now won back-to-back games while stopped 62 of 64 shots (.969 SV%). He faces the Maple Leafs for the second time this season, the first time he allowed on goal on 27 shots in a 2-1 shootout loss.

Mike Smith
Niemi starts for the Coyotes.

Niemi allowed four goals on 29 shots, but managed to walk away with a 5-4 win over the Lightning on Saturday. All four goals came from Martin St. Louis in the first 30 minutes of the contest, but Niemi was able to shut the door for the remainder of the contest. Tonight he is a must-start with the Flames in town.

Antti Niemi
Sedin (back/finger) has been ruled out for Tuesday's contest.

Sedin's ironman streak will come to an end at 679 games. That is the sixth longest in NHL history, the last time he missed a regular season game was during the 2003-04 season. Sedin is listed as day-to-day.

Henrik Sedin
Quick leads the Kings onto the ice for warmups.

Quick allowed two goals on 35 shots in Saturday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Red Wings. On of the goals he gave up was highly questionable as it came off of the netting hit him in the back and went in. The goal counted because the play was not whistled dead, which makes it not reviewable. Today he takes on a shorthanded blueline and the Bruins backup netminder, he should be started.

Jonathan Quick
Johnson leads the Bruins onto the ice for warmups.

Johnson allowed two goals on 34 shots in a win of the Stars on Thursday. It was a strong outing for the B's number-2 and he will need a similar effort today when he goes head-to-head with Jonathan Quick. He would make for a risky spot-start behind a severely banged up blue line.
