Winnik says he is “100% fine” after being stretchered off of the ice on Thursday.

Winnik was knocked out in an awkward collision that had him land on the back of his neck. He was out cold on the ice and had to be stretchered off, but he was reportedly up and talking to teammates following the game and is doing well. I would not expect to see him in the lineup on Saturday vs. the Rangers, but you never know.

Daniel Winnik
Schnedier will start Friday.

Schneider was pulled after he allowed three goals on 25 shots in the Devils’ 3-0 loss to the Blues last night. It was not the best outing, but yanking him early gives him the opportunity to start again tonight in Detroit. He is 4-2-0 with a 3.37 GAA and .897 SV% on the road so far.

Cory Schneider
Miller starts for the Canucks.

Miller allowed two goals on 22 shots in a win over the Avalanche on Tuesday. He has won six in a row while allowing just 10 goals on 158 shots (.937 SV%). He has just one loss this season, so there is no reason not to have him in your lineup, even with the tough matchup.

Ryan Miller
Rinne leads the Predators onto the ice for warmups.

Rinne stopped 26 of 27 shots in the Predators win over the Canucks on Sunday. He has been great through 10 starts, winning seven while posting a 1.87 GAA and .931 SV%. Tonight he faces a struggling Stars team, who have lost five in a row.

Pekka Rinne
Rask leads the Bruins onto the ice for warmups.

Rask stopped 18 of 19 shots in a 2-1 victory over the Panthers on Tuesday. He has won four of his last five starts, while registering a 2.19 GAA and .930 SV% over that span. He is as good as they come and he is a must-start tonight vs. the visiting Oilers. Rask is 4-2-0 at home this season.

Tuukka Rask
Carter Ashton has been suspended for 20 games for violating the terms of the NHL and NHL Players’ Association’s drug policy.

Ashton says he unknowingly ingested prohibited substance Clenbuterol through an inhaler used to treat asthma. “I now recognize that I ingested Clenbuterol, a prohibited substance, through the inhaler,” he said in a statement.“However, at no time was I seeking to gain an athletic advantage or to knowingly violate the terms of the program. I used the inhaler in response to exercise-induced asthma, a condition that my doctor with the Toronto Maple Leafs has since diagnosed and he has prescribed me with an inhaler.” He is not eligible to play again until December 20th vs. the Flyers.

Carter Ashton
Miller is the Canucks expected starter tonight.

Miller allowed two goals on 22 shots in a win over the Avalanche on Tuesday. He has won six in a row while allowing just 10 goals on 158 shots (.937 SV%). He has just one loss this season, so there is no reason not to have him in your lineup, even with the tough matchup.

Ryan Miller
Luongo gets the start in goal for the Panthers.

Luongo stopped 23 of 25 shots in the Panthers 2-1 overtime loss to the Bruins on Tuesday. It was a tough loss, but another really good outing for Bobby Lu. In his last seven starts he is 4-1-2 with a sensational 1.41 GAA and .954 SV%. Tonight, he faces a Flyers team averaging 3.08 goals per game.

Roberto Luongo
Bruins have four days off before their next game, expect Rask to get the call tonight.

Tuukka Rask
Allen (lower-body) expects to make his season debut on Friday.

Allen was recently recalled from Norfolk (AHL) after spending the weekend with them on a conditioning stint. The 34-year-old defenseman is expected to replace Josh Manson on the Ducks blue line. He had 10 assists in 68 games in 2013-14.

Bryan Allen
Smith will start in goal on Friday.

Smith surrendered two goals on 30 shots in the Coyotes’ 3-2 win over the Maple Leafs on Tuesday. The W snapped a three-game losing streak for Smith and marked his third of the season. Smith’s 3.63 GAA and .880 SV% leave little to be desired right now, but there are signs of improvement, but that still doesn’t mean you start him tonight in Anaheim.

Mike Smith
Getzlaf (flu) will play on Friday.

Getzlaf, who missed Wednesday’s game with the flu, was back on the ice on Thursday and said that there is no doubt that he will play on Friday vs. Arizona. However, he could be without his regular linemate Corey Perry, who is still battling the flu.

Ryan Getzlaf
Burrows has served his three game suspension and will play Thursday.

Burrows was suspended for his hit on Alexei Emelin on October 30th, he had to sit the last three games but will be back in the lineup tonight in San Jose. He has two goals and four assists in 10 games. Along with Nick Bonino and Chris Higgins, the Canucks second line has been providing a lot of secondary scoring to start the year.

Alexandre Burrows
Bonino will be in the lineup on Thursday.

Despite missing the Canucks morning skate, Bonino will be in the Canucks lineup tonight vs. the Sharks. Bonino has had a nice start to the season, scoring six goals and five assists in his first 11 contests. He is coming off of a two-goal performance on Tuesday.

Nick Bonino
Bonino (undisclosed) is not on the ice for the Canucks’ morning skate.

Bonino reportedly had to get treatment after blocking a shot on Tuesday. He could miss tonight’s game, but we won’t know until after the morning skate. Bo Horvat was centring the second line with Bonino unavailable.
