A three-game road trip starts tomorrow in Ottawa and it will start without Parise. He suffered an upper-body injury last night vs. the Penguins and it sounds like he will miss at least the next three games. He could always join the team on the trip but for now he is day-to-day. With Parise out, Thomas Vanek skated on the top-line.

Tokarski stopped 16 of 18 shots in a loss to the Oilers in his last start (Oct. 27th). Tonight he gets back between the pipes having posted a 2.50 GAA and .909 SV% in his first three outings. He is a great spot-start option against the Sabres.

Lazar played in his ninth game last night vs. the Red Wings. If he plays anymore it will burn the first year of his entry level deal, but the Senators have been impressed with his play, so he will stick with the team and play in number-10 tomorrow vs. the Wild. He has three assists and is averaging 13:03 TOI so far this year.

Krejci missed his second game in a row last night and his absence this morning makes him doubtful for a return on Thursday vs. Edmonton. While he remains out, Chris Kelly will continue to centre Milan Lucic and Seth Griffin.

Huberdeau missed his second game in a row on Tuesday and looks to be in danger of missing three in a row on Thursday. Monitor his availability for tomorrow’s morning skate.

Zuccarello missed Monday’s game vs. the Blues with an undisclosed injury but he will be back in the lineup tonight vs. the Red Wings. He is expected to return to the wing alongside Derick Brassard and Rick Nash.

Phillips is not on the ice for practice this morning so the lower-body injury that he suffered last night might be enough to keep him out of the lineup on Thursday.

Chiasson missed Tuesday’s game with a lower-body injury. It looked as if he was going to play because he participated in the morning skate, but he was scratched prior to warmups. Being on the ice again today suggests he will be back tomorrow.

Borowiecki has missed the last three games with an undisclosed. There is no word on what is ailing Borowiecki, but his return to the ice this morning is a good sign that he could be back tomorrow vs. the Wild.

Alex Killorn was not on the ice again on Wednesday, so he seems doubtful for Thursday, which means Paquette will be reinserted into the lineup. He skated on the fourth line with Vladislav Namestnikov and Jonathan Drouin this morning.

Klein left the ice this morning with the rest of the main group, while Dylan McIlrath stayed on for extra work, which means that Klein should be back on the blue line tonight vs. the Red Wings.

Stuart could miss some time with the leg injury, but we won’t get an update until after the Avs’ practice this afternoon.
