Nilsson gets his third straight start.

Nilsson allowed three goals on 34 shots in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Penguins. It was a good start for the young netminder, who stood his ground against a very talented team. Sidney Crosby took the game over and there was not much Nilsson could do. He draws a third straight difficult matchup tonight when the Isles are in St. Louis.

Anders Nilsson
Francois Beauchemin (upper body) joining Ducks on trip. Don't know what it means for his status but a potential encouraging sign.

Beauchemin has missed the last six games with an upper-body injury. He was having a great go in the first 24 games, posting a six assists and a plus-15 rating (t-5th in NHL).

Francois Beauchemin
Klein (lower-body) will be back in the lineup tonight.

Klein has missed the last two games with a lower-body injury, but will slot back in tonight with Joe Piskula coming out and heading back to the AHL. Klein averages 20:17 TOI per game and is an important part of the Preds blueline. In 26 games this season he has one assist and a minus-8 rating.

Kevin Klein
Lehner starts for the Senators.

Lehner allowed three goals on 22 shots in a loss to the Red Wings on Sunday. It was one of Lehner's worst outings of the season, but it is still better than what Craig Anderson has been offering as of late. Lehner will go head-to-head with former Senator, Ben Bishop tonight. He is 2-3-0 with a 2.55 GAA and .938 SV% on the road.

Robin Lehner
Lehtonen vs. Bernier in Toronto tonight.

Lehtonen was unreal on Tuesday, turning aside 47 of 50 shots, leading the Stars to a 4-3 win over the Blackhawks. The win was his 11th of the season and snapped a four-game losing streak. Tonight he will take on a injury depleted Maple Leafs team who have lost five straight.

Kari Lehtonen
As expected, Tuukka Rask starts for the Bruins.

Rask stopped 17 of 19 shots in a win over the Rangers last Friday. He was given Saturday night off so has had six days off since his last start and should be well rested for tonight's contest. He will face a red-hot Habs team, who are 7-0-1 in their last eight. Rask is 5-3-0 with a 2.26 GAA and .924 SV% on the road

Tuukka Rask
Niemi vs. Fleury tonight.

Niemi stopped 28 of 30 shots to earn his sixth straight win on Tuesday. During his six-game winning streak he has recorded a 1.95 GAA and .934 SV%. It was his 16th win which ranks him second in the NHL, one behind Corey Crawford. He catches a break tonight with Evegeni Malkin not dressing for the Penguins.

Antti Niemi
Seguin is skating this morning. Stars public relations says he still has to be tested after the morning skate and won't be available for comment.

Seguin reportedly skated really hard for 45 minutes on Wednesday and is practicing again this morning, so there is definitely a chance that Seguin could return tonight. It is a big game for Seguin, who has a lot of history with the Maple Leafs and he is from nearby Brampton, Ontario. Monitor his status prior to puck-drop.

Tyler Seguin
No surprise that Ben Bishop will get the start in net

Bishop allowed one goal on 21 shots, but still walked away with the loss on Tuesday. The Lightning couldn't beat a combination of Sergei Bobrovsky and Curtis McElhinney. Despite only walking away with one win in his last four starts, Bishop has been fantastic, posting a 0.99 GAA and .969 SV%.

Ben Bishop
Lupul says he is day-to-day with a groin strain, he is uncertain if he will be available for the weekends games.

Lupul skated for the second straight day and appears to be progressing rather quickly. He was expected to miss two weeks, so if he plays this weekend he would be a few days ahead of schedule. Monitor his status as the weekend approaches.

Joffrey Lupul
An MRI revealed an oblique strain for Bozak, he is out indefinitely.

Head coach Randy Carlyle said that Bozak will be out for "an extended period of time". This is a tough break for the Leafs who's injury woes continue. He has already missed a month this season with a hamstring injury.

Tyler Bozak
Kopecky (elbow) appears to be ready to return to the Panthers lineup tonight.

Kopecky has been skating lately, but was sating on a regular line with Tomas Fleischmann and Marcel Goc this morning, a good sign he is in. Kopecky missed the last five games after suffering an elbow injury in the first period of the November 21st clash with the Oilers.

Tomas Kopecky
Fleury is first goalie off of the ice for the Penguins.

Fleury allowed two goals (one ugly one) on 23 shots in a 3-2 come from behind win over the Islanders on Tuesday. It was a solid way to kick off December for Fleury, who is now 15-7-1 with a 2.06 GAA and .918 SV%. He will be in for a tough task tonight with the San Jose Sharks in town.
