Lindback leads the Lightning onto the ice; he starts.

Lindback allowed three goals on 32 shots in a win over the Panthers on October 27. The Lightning were expected to have a balance of Lindback and Ben Bishop this season, but Bishop has clearly taken over the number-1 job as he continues to take the NHL by storm. Linback has a tough matchup today vs. a great Bruins team.

Anders Lindback
McQuaid (undisclosed) will not play today; Matt Bartowski out.

McQuaid was injured in Saturday's contest after playing just 0:44. The Bruins haven't released any details on McQuaid's injury so there is no telling how long he will be out, for now consider him day-to-day.

Adam McQuaid
Brodeur starts on Tuesday.

Brodeur stopped all 15 shots he faced on Sunday for his second straight shutout. After a meagre start to the season Brodeur has been stellar as of late. With back-to-back shutouts, he has only allowed two goals in his last four outings. Brodeur will face a surging Rangers team who have won six of their last seven.

Martin Brodeur
Rask expected to get the start for the Bruins.

Rask turned aside 33 of 34 shots to carry to the Bruins to a win over the Maple Leafs on Saturday. After a solid October, Rask has been spectacular in November - he carries a 2-0-1 record with a 1.30 GAA and .957 SV% into this Veteran's Day matinee with the Lightning. Steven Stamkos has six game goal streak (7G in 6 games), so this is not a great matchup - but Rask is a must-start regardless of who the opposition is.

Tuukka Rask
Steve Downie (concussion) is practicing on a line with Sean Couturier and Matt Read, a good indicator he could be back tomorrow vs. Ottawa.

Downie has missed the last four games after being concussed in a fight on his first game back with the Flyers. He had a goal and an assist in 11 games with the Avalanche before being traded to Philly. Monitor his status during Tuesday's morning skate.

Steve Downie
Calvert (abdomen) is skating in a regular jersey at Blue Jackets practice.

Calvert has been sidelined since October 12 after having surgery to repair an abdominal tear. Skating in a regular sweater indicates that he is nearing a return. Monitor his status prior to Tuesday's contest vs. Washington. Calvert is an under-sized winger who has yet to make a splash in the NHL. He has 20 goals and 19 assists (39 points) in 100 career NHL games.

Matt Calvert
Franzen (illness) appears to be set to return on Tuesday.

Franzen has missed the last four games and five of the last six games with an illness. He was skating on the Red Wings second line with Daniel Alfredsson and Darren Helm in Monday's practice. Franzen has struggled to two goals and three assists in 13 games.

Johan Franzen
Raymond has been moved to the Maple Leafs top line with James van Riemsdyk and Phil Kessel.

Raymond was shifted to the first line in the third period of Saturday's loss to the Bruins. The speedy winger remained on the top-line in Monday's practice so it appears he will play there on Wednesday vs. Minnesota. Raymond has five goals and six assists in 17 games.

Mason Raymond
The Predators have released a statement on Pekka Rinne's hip injury:

"Pekka Rinne underwent a MRI earlier this week and he continues to progress in his recovery from a bacterial infection in his hip which was initially identified and addressed with arthroscopic hip surgery on October 24. There have been no setbacks – and we and the doctors are thankful they have identified the infection – so now it is simply a matter of time for recovery and allowing treatment to take its course. Pekka will remain on crutches and antibiotics for at least the next couple weeks before a follow-up MRI in late November. We expect a full and complete recovery and will provide additional updates when appropriate."

Pekka Rinne
Fisher (lower-body) will not play tonight.

Fisher will miss his third consecutive contest after being injured in the second period on October 2 versus Los Angeles. Fisher has been practicing, but consider him questionable for Tuesday when Nashville faces the Islanders.

Mike Fisher
Crawford between the pipes for Chicago.

Crawford stopped 31 of 33 shots in a win over the Stars on Saturday. He will get the nod again Sunday having won five of his last six starts with a 2.16 GAA and .924 SV%. Crawford has a good matchup on Sunday when the Oilers come to the 'Windy City'.

Corey Crawford
Clemmensen starts for the Panthers

Clemmensen allowed four goals on 30 shots in a loss to the Bruins on Thursday. In the tail-end of a back-to-back, he gets nod vs. the Rangers. After a rough start to the season, the return home for the Rangers has led to winning five of their last six.

Scott Clemmensen
Niemi starts for the Sharks.

Niemi was yanked for the first time this season after giving up four goals on 13 shots. After a blistering start to the season, Niemi has lost each of his last four starts. He has a good opportunity to get back in the win column tonight vs. the Jets.

Antti Niemi
Holtby starts for Washington.

Holtby stopped 33 of 35 shots in a shootout win over the Wild on Thursday. He was given Saturday night off, but will be back in the cage tonight vs. the 13-2-0 Avalanche. Holtby has won six of his last seven, so it would be hard to bench him - unless you have the goalie categories locked up.
