NHL Hockey Player News

Peters starts both games of back-to-back.

Peters allowed three goals on 32 shots in his fourth straight loss on Friday. Since Peters became the default starter because of injuries to Cam Ward and Anton Khudobin, Peters is 0-4-0 with a 3.10 GAA and .897 SV%. Although he has a strong matchup vs. the Rangers, I'm sure you have better options.

Justin Peters
Zatkoff in goal for the Penguins.

Zatkoff allowed four goals on 25 shots in a loss to the Islanders on October 25. He has struggled posting a 5.06 GAA and .818 SV% through two starts. He has OK matchup vs. the Blue Jackets - however they threw 39 shots at Marc-Andre Fleury last night, so you might want to stay away from Zatkoff.

Jeff Zatkoff
Poulin will start for the Islanders.

Poulin allowed four goals on 31 shots in a loss to the Flyers on October 26. He has lost each of his two starts this season while posting a 3.53 GAA and .881 SV%. The Islanders played very well against the Senators last night, but will be in tough tonight vs. the Bruins.

Kevin Poulin
Mason starts for the Flyers.

Mason allowed three goals on 17 shots before being yanked early in the second period. It was his first really poor performance of the season, despite how bad the Flyers have been. He has a solid chance to get back into the win column tonight vs. the Devils.

Steve Mason
Tyler Bozak (lower body) has been placed on Long Term Injured Reserve.

Bozak will miss his fourth straight game tonight and will not be able to return to action until November 19th vs the Islanders at the earliest. This move allows Nikolai Kulemin to be activated from IR without having to make another roster move.

Tyler Bozak
Scott Clemmensen is expected to start his first game of the season.

Clemmensen made two starts for the San Antonio Rampage (AHL) going 1-1-0 with a 3.50 GAA and .894 SV%. The Panthers would like to have given this start to Tim Thomas but he is still dealing with a leg injury. The Capitals hung seven goals on the Flyers last night, so Clemmensen doesn't look like a strong spot-start tonight.

Scott Clemmensen
Hanzal returns to the Coyotes lineup after serving his two games suspension.

The Coyotes will receive a big boost tonight when they get their second leading scorer back. Hanzal has five goals and six assists (11 points) in 12 games. He will play on a line with Lauri Korpikoski and Radim Vrbata.

Martin Hanzal
Kulemin (ankle) has been activated from IR.

Kulemin was expected to suit up up tonight and being removed from IR confirms that report. Kulemin was injured in the second game of the season and has missed the Leafs last 12 contests. He had two assists in the first two contests and bolsters and already strong lineup even further.

Nikolay Kulemin
