Nabokov in net

Nabokov has been superb for the Islanders this season and has them in the post-season for the first time since 2007. Nabby has yet to lose in regulation this month, going 7-0-3 with a 2.53 GAA and .913 SV% in 10 starts in April. He has a good matchup vs. the Sabres so he should make for a solid start.

Evgeni Nabokov
The Wild has recalled checker Carson McMillan from AHL Houston.

We'll have to wait and see if McMillan is Mike Rupp insurance or if he's playing regardless. The gritty McMillan, a 2007 seventh-rounder, has 2 goals and 5 points in 15 Wild games over two seasons. This would be his season debut if he plays tonight. The way it looked yesterday, Jason Pominville was unlikely to play tonight vs. Edmonton. The hope was Rupp would take Pominville's place in the lineup, but when Rupp said after practice that he would have to see how his knee responded this morning.

Ryane Clowe was injured during Thursday’s game against the Carolina Hurricanes and did not return.

It’s unclear whether the issue is even an upper-body or lower-body injury, although it looked like the big forward’s leg was bothering him. In the meantime, it looks like Chris Kreider will get a chance to prove that he deserves more reps.

Ryane Clowe
Miller will start for the Sabres.

Miller allowed two goals on 42 shots in a 4-2 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday. Tonight will mark the end of the season for the Sabres and Miller's 500th career NHL game. He has a fairly tough matchup against an Islanders team who has clinched a playoff spot.

Ryan Miller
Gleason-Faulk, McBain-Harrison, Sanguinetti-Bergeron the D pairs in warmups. No Corvo, so team is down a skater.

There is no word on what is going on with Corvo other than he is not on the ice. The Hurricanes who usually dress seven defenseman will play with only six d-men and 11 forwards tonight.

Ellis vs. Lundqvist

Ellis allowed three goals on 39 shots in a win over the Islanders on Tuesday. This is his second straight win while making 35+ saves. He will face the Rangers tonight who are trying to solidfy their playoff spot. Ellis is a risky start.

Dan Ellis
Ryan Getzlaf was to sit but could go as Nick Bonino may be questionable. Bonino apparently not feeling well.

This would be good for Getzlaf's fantasy owners who need him to play tonight. However we might not know until warmups if Getzlaf will be in or not. Monitor his status.

Ryan Getzlaf
J.S. Giguere to start Friday's game in Phoenix #Avs

Giguere allowed three goals on 32 shots in a win over the Blues on Sunday. He will face the Coyotes tomorrow in what will be the Avs second last game of the season. It is a good matchup but if you have to play Giguere in the finals... How did you make the finals?

Both Patrick Maroon and Devante Smith-Pelly, recently called up from Norfolk, will be in the #NHLDucks lineup tonight.

With the Ducks benching a lot of their star players to rest them for the playoffs, Smith-Pelly will play in his sixth game this season. He has yet to record a point this season.

Devante Smith-Pelly
Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf won't play tonight vs Canucks. Nor will Selanne, Koivu and Bryan Allen. All being saved for playoffs. #canucks

Allen will take a seat tonight with the Ducks locked into second in the Western Conference.
