NHL Hockey Player News

Quick is expected to get the start tonight for the Kings.

Quick was yanked after only 6 minutes in his last outing vs. the Ducks. He gave up 2 goals on 3 shots. However when Jonathan Bernier struggled as well giving up 4 goals on 21 shots. Quick is the unquestioned #1 goalie in LA and will get almost every start. He is a shocking 2-2-2 with a 2.74 GAA and .897 SV%, but is still a must-start, especially vs. the Blue Jackets.

Jonathan Quick
Fleury gets the start tonight for the Penguins.

Fleury wasn't busy in his last start against the Devils only making 15 saves on 16 shots. He has been alternating starts with Vokoun this season and has actually been outplayed by the veteran Vokoun. Fleury goes up against the Islanders who he allowed 4 goals on 17 shots on January 29.

Marc-Andre Fleury
Kiprusoff will start tonight for the Flames.

Kiprusoff is 1-3-2 with a 3.42 GAA and .859 SV% this season. The Flames are dead last in the NHL with 4 points and need to pick it up if they want to make the playoffs in this shortened season. Kipper and the Flames dominated the Hawks in their last outing but still took a shootout loss after letting Marian Hossa tie the game with 3 seconds left.

Ben Scrivens taking visitors' goal at Leafs optional skate. Would appear he gets the start tonight in Washington.

Reimer made 5 straight starts since Scrivens was pulled against the Islanders (Jan. 24). Reimer started last night against the Canes, so it was expected that Scrivens would get the start tonight. He needs to get back on track tonight vs. a struggling Capitals team.

Ben Scrivens
Center Dave Bolland expects to play for #Blackhawks vs. Sharks tomorrow night.

Bolland injured his leg last Friday against the Canucks, and missed the Hawks last contest. However he skated yesterday and expected to be in the lineup tonight.

Dave Bolland
NYI goalie Evgeni Nabokov will make his 8th start in Isles' first nine games against Penguins tonight.

Nabokov has played better than his numbers would indicate, his D in front of him isn't the strongest so he is bound to see a lot of shots. However he still has 4 wins in 7 starts and will look to add to that tonight. It won't be easy though as the Islanders take on the Penguins.

Evgeni Nabokov
Bryz is your starter tonight, as expected. #Flyers

Bryzgalov is 3-5-0 with a 2.40 GAA and .920 SV% are his best numbers he's had since joining the Flyers. He is good fantasy option however because he starts almost every game and should start to pick up wins. However he has a tough matchup tonight against the high-scoring Tampa Bay Lightning.

Ilya Bryzgalov
Neuvirth gets the nod for the Capitals.

The Capitals goal crease is in shambles right now. Neither starter is playing well and it's a guessing game at who is going to start each game. Neuvirth gets the call tonight and will take on Toronto. In his last start he faced Toronto as well, where he stopped 37 of 40 shots he faced in a 3-2 loss.

Michal Neuvirth
Mason will start in goal for the Blue Jackets.

Mason got his first win in his last start where he played very well vs. the Red Wings. It looks like the Blue Jackets coaching staff is rewarding his good performance with another start. However he has a tough matchup tonight vs. the Kings.

Steve Mason
Ward will start for the Hurricanes.

Ward has had a terrible start to the season. Ward only has 1 win on the season with a 4.04 GAA and .867 SV%. He played well against the Flyers after Dan Ellis was pulled. Ward has a good matchup tonight against the Maple Leafs but he might need to earn some trust back before you play him

Cam Ward
Crawford will start for the Blackhawks tomorrow.

Crawford has been stellar so far this season (5-0-2, 1.66 GAA, .934 SV%). He will have a difficult matchup going up against the NHL's best team, the San Jose Sharks. It would be tough to bench Crawford at this point but it might be a good idea vs. the Sharks.

Corey Crawford
Derek Roy has been activated from injured reserve and will play tonight for the Stars.

Roy missed the Stars last 5 games but will return tonight. Roy picked 2 assists in his first 4 games as a Star. He will play alongside Loui Eriksson and Tomas Vincour. The Stars need Roy and his line mates to produce as they have struggled to score on a consistent basis.

Derek Roy
Craig Anderson will start tomorrow vs. the Sabres. #Sens

Anderson saved 30 of 32 shots he faced yesterday against the Habs in a losing effort. Anderson's great season continues though as he has a 1.12 GAA and .964 SV%, and has a fairly good matchup tomorrow against the Sabres, as long as they can stop Vanek.

Craig Anderson
Brodeur will start tomorrow for the Devils.

Brodeur has lost his last 3 starts giving up a combined 14 goals in those 3 contests. Brodeur's hot start to the season has really slowed down. Brodeur is still a solid #2 fantasy goalie option. He has a tough matchup tomorrow against the Rangers.

Martin Brodeur
No Cam Fowler (upper body) for #NHLDucks tonight, and no definitive timetable, but Coach Bruce Boudreau said he doesn't expect absence will be too long.

Fowler was hit hard in the Ducks last contest. He is a great offensive defenceman and this is a big blow to the Ducks. According to Bourdreau Fowler shouldn't be out long which is a positive.

Cam Fowler
Greiss first goalie off so looks like he's in tonight #SJSharks

Greiss had a shutout in his first start this season. He doesn't have very much fantasy value due to the limited amount of starts he is expected to get. However the way the Sharks have been playing he could be worth a spot start tonight.

Thomas Greiss
