Jake Allen's first NHL victory will lead to his second NHL start.

With Halak out with an injury and Elliott on a major slump Allen will get his second straight start tonight vs. the Flames. Allen didn't see a lot of shots in his first start, stopping 15 of 18 shots he faced against Detroit and recording the OT win. He has a pretty good match-up tonight against Calgary and could be worth a spot start; if you trust the young netminder.

Jake Allen
Boucher said if Lindback feels up to it he will start Saturday at Florida.

Lindback was on the ice for practice today and said "he felt good" so all sings point to him being back between the pipes tomorrow vs. the Panthers. Lindback only has 1 win in his last 5 outings while posting a 3.08 GAA and .890 SV%, so playing Florida should be a good way to get back on track.

Anders Lindback
Bernier will be in net tonight for the Kings.

Bernier played well in the Kings last game only allowing 1 goal on 23 shots vs. a good Blues team. It looks like he will make his second consecutive start tonight vs. the Blue Jackets. Bernier is only owned in 0.2% of ESPN leagues so he could make for a good spot start tonight vs. a weak Columbus roster.

Jonathan Bernier
Niemi is the likely starter tonight for the Sharks.

After starting the season 6-0-0, Niemi has lost his last 4 starts. However it was not Niemi's fault that the Sharks lost those games. In 2 of the games he only allowed 1 goal and in another he posted a shutout and lost in a shootout. Niemi still has a 1.74 GAA and .935 SV% and is a good #1 fantasy option. Tough match-up tonight against Chicago.

Antti Niemi
Miller will likely get the start tonight for the Sabres.

Millers .915 SV% is not bad but his 2.89 GAA is not Miller-like. To be fair to him the Sabres defence has been terrible this season. It doesn't get any easier for the Sabres tonight as they take on the Bruins, so play Miller at your own risk.

Ryan Miller
#FlaPanthers Kevin Dineen says Kris Versteeg doubtful again v #tbLightning

This is not good news for the Panthers as Versteeg is one of their best offensive options. They were shutout last night agianst Montreal and could use Versteeg as soon as he is ready to go. Consider him day-to-day for now.

Kris Versteeg
#Pens Beau Bennett will make his NHL debut tonight vs. Winnipeg

Bennett will start on the Penguins 3rd line with Sutter and Kennedy but I wouldn't be surprised if he moves up to the second like alongside Malkin and Neal before this one is over. Matt Cooke is currently playing with them, and Bennett is a much better offensive option that Cooke. If he plays on the third line he is not a great fantasy option, however if he moves up with Malkin then his stock rises considerably.

Beau Bennett
#nhljets will start Ondrej Pavelec in net tonight.

Pavelec needs to start turning his play around or Winnipeg is going to fall out of the playoff race really fast. He is 3-6-1 with a 3.28 GAA and .886 SV% which just isn't good enough from your #1 goalie. Pavelec isn't a great fantasy option right now but if he can turn it around he could emerge as a strong #2 fantasy option.

Ondrej Pavelec
Crawford out with upper-body. Day to day. #Blackhawks

The Blackhawks recalled Henrik Karlsson today to back-up Ray Emery tonight. There isn't really any news on what happened to Crawford but it doesn't sound like it is serious. Consider him day-to-day and monitor his status going forward. In the meantime Emery receives a fantasy boost.

Corey Crawford
Bryzgalov will start tonight for the Flyers.

Bryzgalov has won 4 of his last 6 starts but his numbers haven't been that spectacular lately. In his last 3 starts he has 2 wins but has a 3.65 GAA and .877 SV%. He doesn't have a very good matchup tonight either as the Flyers take on the East's best team, Martin Brodeur and the Devils.

Ilya Bryzgalov
Fleury only goalie on ice for #Pens optional skate, strong sign Vokoun will play tonight.

After a strong start to the season Vokoun is clearly the #2 goalie option is Pittsburgh right now. Fleury has won 4 of his last 5 starts, but it looks like it is Vokoun who will be between the pipes tonight vs. Winnipeg. Against a weak Winnipeg team if Vokoun starts he makes a strong spot start.

Anton Khudobin first off at morning skate today, while Tuukka remains on...

Khudobin appears to be the starter tonight vs. the Sabres. Which would likely mean that Rask will go on Sunday vs. Winnipeg. Khudobin has played well in his first two starts this season registering two wins with a 2.00 GAA and .931 SV%. He has a pretty good matchup against a Sabres team who only has 1 goal in their last 2 games.

Anton Khudobin
Viktor Fasth will start tonight and likely tomorrow as well.

Jonas Hiller is improving but still isn't ready to go yet so the Ducks will continue to run with Fasth. He will start both games today vs. the Red Wings and tomorrow vs. Nashville. If Fasth continues to play well in these next two starts the starting job is likely his. He is 6-0-0 with a 1.74 GAA and .933 SV%, if he is available in your league he would be a good pickup.
