Nylander (illness) will be a game-time decision on Wednesday vs. Los Angeles.

Nylander was absent from practice on Tuesday due to an illness and was replaced by Max Pacioretty on Toronto's top powerplay unit in his absence. Nylander has two points (2G / 0A) in three games this season could be available to return to the lineup when the Maple Leafs return to the ice on Wednesday night against the Los Angeles Kings.

William Nylander
Stolarz was the first goalie off the ice at Toronto's morning skate.

With Joseph Woll (lower-body) still sidelined, the Maple Leafs will turn to Stolarz between the pipes for the third time in their first four games. The 31-year-old Stolarz was incredible last season, posting a 2.03 GAA and .925 SV% in 27 outings (16-7-2), and has picked up where he left off, showcasing a tremendous 1.54 GAA and .940 SV% through two games this season (1-1-0). The Maple Leafs enter action as -173 home favorites against a Los Angeles Kings club that was defeated 8-7 by the Ottawa Senators in their last contest.

Anthony Stolarz
Toews (lower-body) is a game-time decision on Wednesday vs. Boston.

Toews was a surprise scratch before Monday's contest against the New York Islanders, with his absence not being announced before warmups. Oliver Kylington drew into the lineup as his replacement. If Toews cannot suit again, it will be a major blow for the Avalanche, one of only four clubs without a win this season (0-3-0).

Devon Toews
St.Ivany is expected to draw back into the Penguins' lineup on Wednesday vs. Buffalo.

St. Ivany was a healthy scratch on Monday but will draw back into the lineup on Wednesday, replacing Ryan Shea. The 25-year-old St. Ivany played the first three games for the Penguins this season, recording a -2 plus/minus and two penalty minutes while averaging 17:02 time-on-ice.

Jack St. Ivany
Sogaard has been recalled from Belleville (AHL).

Sogaard's second call-up this week might indicate that Linus Ullmark (muscle strain) is not ready to return to the crease yet. The 23-year-old Sogaard was a last-minute emergency call-up on Monday and opened the contest against the Los Angeles Kings by backing up Anton Forsberg. Sogaard entered in relief of Forsberg midway through the game and allowed four goals on 17 shots (.765 SV%) but salvaged an 8-7 overtime victory.

Mads Sogaard
Gaudette has been recalled from Belleville (AHL).

Gaudette drew into Ottawa's lineup on Monday due to a Ridly Greig injury and has been recalled again, an indication that Greig may not be ready to return to the lineup. Gaudette recorded an assist in 5:36 time-on-ice in Ottawa's exhilarating 8-7 overtime win against the Los Angeles Kings on Monday.

Adam Gaudette
Dunn (upper-body) is on the ice for warmups and is expected to play in Nashville on Tuesday.

Dunn is day-to-day with an upper-body injury, did not play on Sunday, but looks set to return on Tuesday against the Nashville Predators. Dunn has started the season with a goal and two points through the first two games while averaging 21:22 TOI/GP.

Vince Dunn
Saros will start against the Kraken on Tuesday.

The winless Predators (0-2-0) will turn to Saros between the pipes for the second time this season. Saros was serviceable in his season opener on Saturday against the Detroit Red Wings, saving 19 of 21 shots (.905 SV%), but received zero goal support in the 3-0 loss. Saros signed an eight-year extension worth $61.92 million ($7.74M AAV) in the offseason and should see a heavy workload in net for the Predators this season. Nashville enters action on Tuesday as a -192 home favorite against the Seattle Kraken.

Juuse Saros
Eyssimont (lower-body) will make his season debut against the Canucks on Tuesday.

Eyssimont has not played yet this season but will draw into the lineup on Tuesday against the Vancouver Canucks. The 28-year-old appeared in 81 games with the Lightning in 2023-24, picking up 11 goals, 25 points and 104 PIMs.

Michael Eyssimont
Hill will start in Washington on Tuesday.

Hill will return to the crease on Tuesday after backing up Ilya Samsonov for the first time this season in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks. The Golden Knights remain undefeated this season (3-0-0) despite unspectacular play from Hill thus far. In two games (2-0-0), Hill is sporting a subpar 3.50 GAA and .870 SV%. The Golden Knights enter action on Tuesday as -130 road favorites against the Washington Capitals.

Adin Hill
Knight will start on Tuesday in Columbus.

Knight struggled in his first outing this season, allowing four goals on 26 shots (.846 SV%) in a 5-3 loss to the Buffalo Sabres last week, but will return to the crease for the Panthers for a second time in their first five games. With Sergei Bobrovsky in his age 36 season, coming off consecutive long playoff runs, this could be an indication Knight's workload going forward this season. The Panthers, still without Aleksander Barkov and Matthew Tkachuk, enter action as -153 road favourites on the road against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Spencer Knight
Durzi (upper-body) will be out for the foreseeable future and is without a timetable to return.

Durzi played only 9:09 time-on-ice before exiting Monday's game against the New Jersey Devils with an upper-body injury. The 26-year-old defenseman was off to a strong start to the season, with two points (0G / 2A), 11 blocks, and seven penalty minutes in three games.

Sean Durzi
Blackwood will start on Tuesday in Dallas.

The Sharks, winless in their first two games (0-1-1), will turn to Blackwood between the pipes for the second time early in the season. Blackwood struggled in his first outing allowing five goals on 40 shots (.875 SV%) in a 5-4 overtime loss to the St. Louis Blues. The 28-year-old Blackwood had a 3.45 GAA, .899 SV%, and two shutouts in 44 appearances for the Sharks last season (10-25-4). The Sharks enter action on Tuesday as sizeable +294 road underdogs against a Dallas Stars team that has outscored their opposition 9-3 so far this season (3-0-0).

Mackenzie Blackwood
McCue (undisclosed) has been activated from the Injured/Non-Roster list and loaned to Cleveland (AHL).

McCue will begin the season with the Cleveland Monsters (AHL) after being activated from Injured Reserve. The 21-year-old McCue was a fifth-round pick of the San Jose Sharks in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft and is making his professional debut this season after tallying 61 points (27G / 34A) in 62 games with the London Knights (OHL) in 2023-24.
