The Jets snapped a three-game losing skid in their most recent outing, a 5-2 win over the Nashville Predators when Connor Hellebuyck saved 26 of 28 shots (.929 SV%), but the team will likely turn to Comrie on Friday. Comrie has lost six straight (0-6-0) but has been serviceable in limited action this season, posting a 3.05 GAA and .904 SV% in nine games (3-6-0). The Jets enter Friday's contest as -121 home favorites against a Los Angeles Kings club that is riding a four-game winning streak but has not played since January 4th.

With Connor Zary (lower body) sidelined indefinitely, the Flames have recalled Kerins from the Wranglers (AHL). The 28-year-old Ekblad is averaging 23:32 time-on-ice, his highest total in four seasons, recording 20 points (2G / 18A), 55 blocks, and 59 hits in 41 games this season.

The Panthers will roll with Bobrovsky for a third straight game on Saturday when they host the Boston Bruins. Despite an unspectacular 4-3-0 record in his last seven games, Bobrovsky has been tremendous between the pipes for the Panthers, allowing three or fewer goals in each contest and posting a terrific .940 SV%. The 36-year-old netminder has a 2.69 GAA and .903 SV% in 28 games this season (18-9-1).

On the tail-end of a back-to-back, the Capitals will turn to Thompson between the pipes on Saturday against the Nashville Predators. The 27-year-old Thompson has grossly outperformed counterpart Charlie Lindgren this season but the two remain in a timeshare for Washington's crease. Thompson has an impressive 2.32 GAA and .919 SV% in 21 games this season (17-2-2).

Kane has not played yet this season and will miss at least another four-to-eight weeks, recovering from knee surgery. The 33-year-old Kane has spent the previous three seasons with the Oilers, tallying 111 points (62G / 49A) in 161 games.

Dylan Guenther (lower body) will be out of the lineup indefinitely, resulting in Utah HC recalled Doan from the Tuscon Roadrunners (AHL). The 22-year-old Doan played nine games with Utah earlier this season, scoring two points (1G / 1A), but has spent most of the 2024-25 campaign in the AHL, scoring 21 points (8G / 13A) in 25 games with Tuscon.

Guenther showed no signs of an injury in Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Florida Panthers, recording 16:47 time-on-ice, but is battling a lower-body ailment that will keep him sidelined indefinitely. The 21-year-old Guenther has 34 points (16G / 18A) in 40 games this season but has only scored two (0G / 2A) in his past eight. Utah HC has recalled Josh Doan from the Tuscon Roadrunners (AHL) as Guenther's replacement.

Zary was limited to 6:37 time-on-ice in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks, exiting the contest after a knee-on-knee hit from Drew Helleson. The 23-year-old Zary had been productive this season before his injury, scoring 22 points (10G / 12A) in 40 games while averaging 16:18 time-on-ice.

Pat Maroon will draw back into Chicago's lineup on Friday against the Detroit Red Wings, sending Reichel back to the press box as a healthy scratch. The 22-year-old Reichel is averaging 12:25 time-on-ice, nearly two minutes less than last season, and has 11 points (3G / 8A) in 35 games.

Lukas Reichel will be a healthy scratch on Friday against the Detroit Red Wings, allowing Maroon to return from a one-game absence. The 36-year-old Maroon is averaging 11:42 time-on-ice, recording 10 points (2G / 8A), 39 penalty minutes, and 68 hits in 37 games this season.

Mrazek was outstanding in his most recent outing, saving 35 of 36 shots (.972 SV%) for his first victory in over a month, defeating the Colorado Avalanche 3-1. The 32-year-old Mrazek has had an up-and-down 2024-25 campaign, posting a 3.13 GAA and .897 SV% in 24 appearances (8-14-1). The Blackhawks enter Friday's contest as +161 road underdogs against the team that drafted Mrazek 141st overall in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, the Detroit Red Wings, who are riding a season-best five-game winning streak.

Lindgren has been between the pipes for the last four Capitals' losses but will return to the crease on Friday against the Montreal Canadiens, the front end of a back-to-back. The 31-year-old Lindgren has a 2.70 GAA and .898 SV% in 20 games this season (10-8-2). He has allowed three or more goals in four straight (0-2-2), posting a .880 SV%. The Capitals enter Friday's contest as sizeable -211 home favorites against a Canadiens squad that is 8-2-0 in their last 10.

Frank is an undrafted forward out of Western Michigan University. The 26-year-old Frank has yet to play an NHL game. He has 28 points (20G / 8A) in 35 games with the Hershey Bears (AHL) this season. In a corresponding move, Washington has loaned Ivan Miroshnichenko to Hershey.

With Alex Lyon (upper body) still sidelined, Detroit has recalled Husso from Grand Rapids (AHL) to serve as Cam Talbot's backup. Husso has been spectacular at the AHL level this season, posting a 1.86 GAA and .935 SV% in eight appearances (6-1-0), but has not been able to translate that success to the NHL level, where he has a 3.47 GAA and .877 SV% in eight appearances (1-4-2).

Sillinger made his NHL debut on Thursday night, recording two penalty minutes, but will return to the Cleveland Monsters (AHL). The 27-year-old Sillinger has 25 points (8G / 17A) in 34 AHL games with Cleveland this season.

Tarasov has only played one game in the last month so he will spend some time in the AHL to get up to speed. In addition, Tarasov has struggled mightily in limited NHL action this season, posting a 4.23 GAA and .857 SV% in 10 games (3-6-1). Before this season, Tarasov was far more stable between the pipes, posting a 3.39 GAA and .905 SV% in 45 appearances (12-24-4). Columbus has recalled Jet Greaves in a corresponding move.

Daniil Tarasov has only played on game in the last month has been assigned to Cleveland (AHL) for a conditioning stint, swapping places with Greaves.
