Holloway's offer sheet from St.Louis was not matched by Edmonton and he has been signed to a two-year, $4.58 million contract ($2,290,000 AAV).

Alongside Philip Broberg, Edmonton has decided to not match the two-year, $4.58 million offer sheet St.Louis presented to Dylan Holloway and will therefore lose the 22-year-old forward for a 2025 3rd-round pick. Holloway was Edmonton's 2020 1st round pick (14th overall) and had six goals, nine points and 29 PIMs in 38 games played in 2023-24.

Patrik Laine's offseason saga comes to an end after he was traded to Montreal on Monday alongside a 2026 2nd-round pick for Jordan Harris. Harris heads to Columbus after three strong seasons in Montreal and has eight goals and 32 points in 131 career games played. The 24-year-old was Montreal's 2018 3rd-round pick (71st overall).

The Canadiens have acquired Patrik Laine and a 2026 2nd Round Pick from the Blue Jackets for Jordan Harris.

Laine's well-documented time in Columbus has come to an end after he was traded to Montreal alongside a 2026 3rd-round pick for Jordan Harris. The 26-year-old only appeared in 18 games in 2023-24 after a clavicle injury and trip to the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program took his season from him. The 26-year-old has not surpassed 60 points since 2019-20 and is far from his 19-year-old self who had 44 goals and 70 points in 82 games played. He is expected to join Montreal's top-six for the start of the 2024-25 season.

Edmonton has acquired Ty Emberson from San Jose for Cody Ceci and a 2025 3rd-round pick.

With Edmonton needing to offload salary after St.Louis tenured two of their restricted free agents this week (Broberg, Holloway), they have dealt Cody Ceci and a 2025 3rd-round pick to San Jose for Ty Emberson. Emberson made his NHL debut in 2023-24 and had a goal and 10 points in 30 games played. The 24-year-old should make a solid replacement for Ceci and a dependable sixth defenseman on the Oilers' third defensive unit.

San Jose has acquired Cody Ceci and a 2025 3rd-round pick from Edmonton for Ty Emberson.

Edmonton needed to clear some cap space after St. Louis tenured two of their restricted free agents earlier in the week (Holloway, Broberg) and have dealt defensemen Cody Ceci and a 2025 3rd-round pick to San Jose for Ty Emberson. In 79 games with Edmonton in 2023-24, the 30-year-old Ceci had five goals, 25 points, and a +12 plus/minus in 2023-24.

Edmonton has acquired Vasily Podkolzin from Vancouver for a 2025 4th-round pick (Ottawa).

Edmonton continued to add to their roster on Sunday as they acquired Vasily Podkolzin from Vancouver for a 2025 4th-round pick (Ottawa). Podkolzin was Vancouver's 2019 1st round pick (10th overall) but had fallen out of favor with the Canucks after producing only two assists, and 20 SOG in 19 games played in 2023-24.

Nashville has acquired Jordan Frasca from Pittsburgh for Cody Glass, a 2025 3rd-round pick (MIN) and a 2026 6th-round pick.

Nashville was able to shed some much-needed salary on Tuesday and get below the cap ceiling as they acquired Jordan Frasca from Pittsburgh for Cody Glass ($2.5 million contract), a 2025 3rd-round pick (MIN), and a 2026 6th-round pick. The Predators bring in the 23-year-old Frasca, who is an undrafted center who has spent his last two seasons with Wheeling of the ECHL. In 40 games played in 2023-24 with Wheeling, he had 11 goals and 33 points.

Pittsburgh added to their forward depth on Tuesday by acquiring Cody Glass alongside a 2025 3rd-round pick (MIN) and a 2026 6th-round pick from Nashville for Jordan Frasca. The 25-year-old centre carries a cap hit of $2.5 million into 2023-24 and should fit in well in Pittsburgh's bottom six after a down season last year which saw him score only six goals and 13 points in 41 games played.

Dallas has signed Magnus Hellberg to a one-year, two-way contract.

Dallas may have created some competition in camp for their backup goaltender position after they signed veteran Magnus Hellberg to a one-year, two-way contract on Tuesday. The 33-year-old Swedish netminder spent 2023-24 with Pittsburgh and appeared in three games, picking up a 1-1-0 record, 2.50 GAA and .922 SV%. Calgary has signed Adam Klapka to a one-year, two-way contract.

The tallest forward in the NHL (6'8") has been signed by Calgary on Tuesday as they signed Adam Klapka to a one-year, two-way contract. The 23-year-old towering right-winger made his NHL debut with the Flames in 2023-24 and had a goal, 19 PIMs and a -1 plus/minus while averaging just 6:46 TOI/GP.

Calgary has signed Yan Kuznetsov to a one-year, two-way contract extension.

Calgary shored up its defensive depth on Tuesday as they signed Yan Kuznetsov to a one-year, two-way contract extension. The 22-year-old Russian defenseman was Calgary's 2020 2nd-round pick (50th overall) and made his NHL debut in 2023-24 but only appeared in one game. In 63 games played with the Calgary Wranglers (AHL) last season, he had five goals and 13 points.

Kane (undisclosed) is likely to undergo surgery and start the 2024-25 season on the LTIR.

There is an expectation around the Oilers' camp that 33-year-old Evander Kane will undergo surgery for an undisclosed injury and will likely start the season on the Long-Term Injured Reserve. The bruising right-winger missed the Oilers last five games of the Stanley Cup Playoffs due to an injury that would not allow him to sit on the bench and will look to right the ship after collecting 24 goals and 44 points in 77 games played in 2023-24.

Evander Kane
New Jersey has signed Nolan Foote to a one-year, two-way contract.

New Jersey solidified their forward depth on Monday as they signed 23-year-old left-winger Nolan Foote to a one-year, two-way contract extension. The 6'3" winger was Tampa Bay's 2019 1st-round pick (27th overall) but has failed to ever truly crack the Devils roster as he has appeared in seven or fewer games in each of the Devils' last four seasons. In 2023-24, he had a goal and six SOG while averaging 10:06 TOI in four games and yet another short showing with New Jersey.

Colorado has signed Matthew Phillips to a one-year, two-way contract.

Phillips spent 2023-24 with two separate organizations (PIT, WASH) but has found himself a home for the 2024-25 season after signing a one-year, two-way contract with Colorado on Friday. The 26-year-old has torn up the American Hockey League for seasons but has still struggled to find a home in the NHL and only produced a goal and five points in 31 games played in 2023-24.

Matthew Phillips
Oscar Klefbom has announced his retirement on Thursday after seven NHL seasons.

Klefbom last played in the NHL on August 7th, 2020, and has announced his retirement after seven injury-filled seasons with Edmonton. The 31-year-old leaves hockey early after he expressed that his career was now over in an interview with European news outlet NWT. In seven seasons with Edmonton, the heavy-shotted defenseman had 34 goals, 156 points and 74 PIMs.

Ottawa has signed Carter Yakemchuk to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Yakemchuk was Ottawa's 2024 1st round pick (7th overall) and signed a three-year, entry-level contract on Tuesday. The 18-year-old defenseman has spent the last three seasons with Calgary (WHL) and shot his way up draft boards in 2023-24 after scoring 30 goals and 71 points in 66 games played. He is expected to return to Calgary for the 2024-25 season.

Carter Yakemchuk

Kylington will leave the Calgary Flames after five successful seasons after the defensemen signed a one-year, $1.05 million contract with Colorado on Monday. The 27-year-old made headlines in 2023-24 after he successfully returned to the NHL after a nearly two-year mental health hiatus.
