Dumba (lower-body) is out week-to-week.

Dumba will not require surgery but will be out of the lineup on a week-to-week basis. He exited Saturday's 3-0 win over the New York Islanders after playing only 6:02 time-on-ice and was replaced by Brendan Smith in the lineup on Sunday. The Stars have also recalled Alex Petrovic from the Texas Stars (AHL) for additional depth on the back end in Dumba's absence.

Matt Dumba
Seguin (lower-body) is considered day-to-day and is out on Tuesday vs. San Jose

Seguin is off to a strong start to the 2024-25 campaign, scoring three points (2G / 1A) in his first three games but will sit out on Tuesday due to a lower-body injury. Mavrik Bourque will make his season debut by replacing Seguin.

Tyler Seguin
Bourque (undisclosed) will make his season debut on Tuesday vs. San Jose.

Bourque was the 2023-24 AHL points leader with 77 (26G / 51A) in 71 games and was projected to crack the opening night roster for Dallas before suffering an undisclosed injury that caused him to exit the team's final preseason game. The 22-year-old Bourque was expected to play on a line with Jamie Benn and fellow rookie Logan Stankoven. He makes his season debut as Tyler Seguin draws out of the lineup due to a lower-body injury.

Mavrik Bourque
Oettinger will start Tuesday vs. the Sharks.

The Dallas Stars have not allowed a goal in consecutive games while alternating between Oettinger and Casey DeSmith in net. The Stars will return to Oettinger between the pipes on Tuesday in a matchup where the Stars are significant -341 home favorites against the San Jose Sharks. Two games into his 2024-25 campaign (2-0-0), Oettinger is sporting a spectacular 1.51 GAA and .957 SV%. That said, Oettinger has a .860 SV% in six career games against the Sharks (4-2-0), his lowest total against any team.

Jake Oettinger
Kovalenko has been reassigned to the Colorado Eagles (AHL).

The 24-year-old Kovalenko made his NHL debut with the Avalanche this season but has struggled adapting to the North American rink after being dominant in the KHL the past several seasons. In his past two campaigns with the Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo (KHL), Kovalenko scored 89 points (32G / 57A) in 98 games.

Nikolai Kovalenko
Gustavsson will start on Tuesday in St.Louis.

Gustavsson has been strong for Minnesota, starting two of three games to start the season, and will return to the crease on Tuesday against the St. Louis Blues. The 26-year-old Gustavsson has saved 64 of 68 shots (.941 SV%) through two games (1-0-1), an early indication that he may be returning to form after a forgettable 2023-24 campaign when he posted a 3.06 GAA and .899 SV% in 45 outings (20-18-4). Minnesota enters the action as slight -111 road favorites against St. Louis.

Filip Gustavsson
Nylander (illness) will be a game-time decision on Wednesday vs. Los Angeles.

Nylander was absent from practice on Tuesday due to an illness. Max Pacioretty was inserted into Toronto's top powerplay unit in his absence. Nylander could be available to return to the lineup when the Maple Leafs return to the ice on Wednesday night against the Los Angeles Kings.

William Nylander
Eyssimont (lower-body) is a game-time decision on Tuesday vs. Vancouver.

Eyssimont has not played yet this season but could draw into the lineup on Tuesday against the Vancouver Canucks. The 28-year-old appeared in 81 games with the Lightning in 2023-24, picking up 11 goals, 25 points and 104 PIMs.

Michael Eyssimont
Silovs will start on Tuesday in Tampa Bay.

Kevin Lankinen was excellent in the Canucks' previous game, saving 29 of 31 shots (.935 SV%) in a 3-2 shootout loss to the Philadelphia Flyers. Still, the team will opt to return to Silovs between the pipes on Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Silovs struggled in his only outing this season, allowing six goals on 26 shots (.769 SV%) in a 6-5 overtime loss to the Calgary Flames. The 23-year-old Silovs has a 2.95 GAA and .885 SV% through 10 career NHL games (6-2-2). The Canucks enter action as +124 road underdogs against the Lightning.

Arturs Silovs
Knight is expected to start on Tuesday in Columbus after taking part in morning skate.

Knight struggled in his first outing this season, allowing four goals on 26 shots (.846 SV%) in a 5-3 loss to the Buffalo Sabres last week, but will return to the crease for the Panthers for a second time in their first five games. With Sergei Bobrovsky in his age 36 season, coming off consecutive long playoff runs, this could be an indication Knight's workload going forward this season. The Panthers, still without Aleksander Barkov and Matthew Tkachuk, enter action as -153 road favourites on the road against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Spencer Knight
Kochetkov will start on Tuesday vs. New Jersey.

In their first game of the season, the Hurricanes were defeated 4-1 by the Tampa Bay Lightning with Frederik Andersen in net. The Hurricanes will turn to Kochetkov for game two on Tuesday against the New Jersey Devils. The 25-year-old Kochetkov has seen his NHL workload increase in his first three seasons, highlighted by a stellar 2.33 GAA and .911 SV% in 42 appearances last season (23-13-4). The Hurricanes enter the action on Tuesday as -161 home favorites against a Devils club that defeated Utah HC yesterday afternoon.

Pyotr Kochetkov
Eriksson Ek (broken nose) will remain out on Tuesday in St. Louis.

Originally expected to return on Tuesday, Eriksson Ek will remain out of the lineup for at least one more game. Eriksson Ek did not travel with Minnesota for the start of their seven-game road trip after he took an elbow to the face from Adam Larsson in the second period and went to the locker room in Saturday's game. He missed the final 12:45 of the period before returning to the game in the third period with a full face shield. He only played one shift, though, and left the game again and did not return.

Joel Eriksson Ek
Hill was the first goalie off the ice at Vegas' morning skate.

Hill will likely return to the crease on Tuesday after backing up Ilya Samsonov for the first time this season in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks. The Golden Knights remain undefeated this season (3-0-0) despite unspectacular play from Hill thus far. In two games (2-0-0), Hill is sporting a subpar 3.50 GAA and .870 SV%. The Golden Knights enter action on Tuesday as -130 road favorites against the Washington Capitals.

Adin Hill
Sogaard has been loaned to the Belleville Senators (AHL).

Sogaard was a last-minute emergency call-up on Monday and opened the contest against the Los Angeles Kings by backing up Anton Forsberg. Sogaard entered in relief of Forsberg midway through the game and allowed four goals on 17 shots (.765 SV%) but salvaged an 8-7 overtime victory. His reassignment to Belleville (AHL) indicates that Linus Ullmark (strain) is likely nearing his return from a one-game absence.
