John Tortorella had no update as to when Burrows (foot) might begin skating with the team.

Burrows only appeared in the season opener on October 3rd. He removed the protective boot from his foot last week, but doesn't appear very close to returning to the lineup.

Alexandre Burrows
Holtby starts for the Capitals.

Holtby allowed just one goal on 38 shots in a 4-1 win over the Blue Jackets on Saturday. After a tough start to the season, Holtby has bounced back with authority. I his last three starts he has two wins with a 1.66 GAA and .952 SV%. He also has a pretty favourable matchup vs. Winnipeg tonight.

Braden Holtby
Gerbe (lower-body) missed practice this morning, but could have practiced and was just held out as a precaution. He should be good to go tomorrow.

Gerbe has three goals and three assists in his first nine games as a Hurricane. That would put him on pace for 54 points, which would smash his previous career high of 31 in 2010-11 with Buffalo.

Nathan Gerbe
Smith is expected to get the start in goal.

Smith was excellent against the Red Wings allowing just two goals on 33 shots in a win over the Red Wings on Saturday. Oh yeah he also scored a goal! His strong play recently has lowered his GAA to 2.83 and SV% is way up to .916. He has a strong matchup tonight vs. Calgary.

Mike Smith
Hiller starts vs. Leafs as Viktor Fasth continues to deal with lower-body injury.

Hiller was pulled after the first period on Sunday, he gave up three goals on 12 shots. Backup Frederik Anderson stopped all 24 shots he faced in the second and third. The Ducks came back and won so Hiller remains 4-0-0, and holds a 2.00 GAA and .937 SV% despite the rough outing. Tonight's matchup with Toronto, is not the best of matchups, but the Ducks have been on fire-you could do worse.

Jonas Hiller
Harding to start for the Wild tonight.

Harding's great start to the season continued on Satruday when he turned aside 21 of 22 shots, but was a tough-luck loser - 2-1 in a shootout. It is shocking that he is just 3-2-1, because he has posted a 1.11 GAA and .948 SV% in seven appearances. What more does he need to do for the Wild?

The Penguins are about to enter a stretch of three games -- in three cities (and two countries) in four days -- so it's a pretty safe bet that backup Jeff Zatkoff will play in at least one of them.

The question is, will be it Friday at home against the New York Islanders, Saturday night in Toronto or Monday night in Raleigh, N.C? Whatever Bylsma decides, he is likely to hold his breath because Zatkoff was less-than-ordinary during his only NHL appearance to date, a 6-3 loss at Florida Oct 11 when he stopped 24 of 30 shots.

Jeff Zatkoff
Nichushkin skating on top line with Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn this morning.

Nichushkin was on everyone's sleeper list after a stellar preseason, but limited minutes and subpar line-mates have held him back to start the season. The move to the top line should definitely help the 18-year-old, especially the way Seguin and Benn have been playing (combined 19 points in eight games). Nichushkin is only owned in 5% of Yahoo! leagues, if he gets a chance to stay on this line, chances are he will produce.

Valeri Nichushkin
The Anaheim Ducks have recalled Devante Smith-Pelly from Norfolk (AHL).

Smith-Pelly won't be in the lineup tonight vs. the Maple Leafs. He still has not played a game with the Ducks this season, however he has two goals in six games with Norfolk (AHL).

Devante Smith-Pelly
Brunner (upper-body) returns to the Devils lineup tonight vs. Columbus.

Brunner missed Saturday's contest with the Rangers due to general upper-body soreness. He returns to the lineup tonight with three goals and two assists in his first seven games with the Devils. He will skate on a line with Andrei Loktionov and Dainius Zubrus.

Damien Brunner
Lundqvist was given a maintenance day yesterday and won't skate again today. He is day-to-day because he is dealing with a "minor issue."

There is a good chance that Lundqvist will be fine, and start on Thursday in Philadelphia. He is 2-4-0 with a 3.45 GAA and .890 SV% to begin the season.

Henrik Lundqvist
