Cory Schneider will start in net for Devils Saturday vs. Rangers.
Schneider allowed two goals on 34 shots in a 3-0 loss to the Jets on Sunday. He is still searching for his first win as a Devil. He will likely go head-to-head with Henrik Lundqvist, in what should be a great goalie battle.
Timonen is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.
Timonen left Thursday's game after playing 13:00 - he was a minus-2 in the game.
Kris Letang taking rushes paired with assistant coach Todd Reirden, so not looking promising that he will play Saturday.
The Penguins play at 1 PM EST tomorrow, so expect an official update later today or early tomorrow. If he can't play on Saturday, the Penguins next game is on Monday vs. Colorado.
Kane said it wasn't his knee that was bothering him. Not 100 per cent but is ready to go if Claude Noel calls his number.

Suspension
Colorado Avalanche left wing Cody McLeod will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety for a boarding incident during Thursday's game against the Detroit Red Wings at Pepsi Center.
At 2:13 of the first period, McLeod was assessed a five-minute major and a game misconduct for boarding Detroit's Niklas Kronwall. Kronwall remained down and was taken from the ice on a stretcher. He did not return. After the game, the Red Wings announced Kronwall sustained a concussion and cuts to his right ear.

Kronwall was injured two minutes into the 4-2 victory Thursday at Pepsi Center. "Tough situation for him, anytime you get hit like that, you're out cold," Wings coach Mike Babcock said. "You're scared to say the least."
Timonen suffered a lower-body injury and will not return to tonight's Flyers-Penguins game.
Timonen appeared in 19 shifts through the first two periods of play and posted 13 minutes of ice time, before leaving the game. He has played in all seven games so far this season, going scoreless and recording 21:43 of ice time to lead all defensemen and second-most on the team, behind only Claude Giroux (22:04).
Kronwall was taken off on a stretcher after being hit from behind in the corner by Avalanche forward Cody McLeod.
McLeod was assessed a five-minute major and a game misconduct for boarding. This would be a huge blow to the Red Wings blueline, expect an update on the Swede tomorrow.
