Matt Carkner will join Sens in New Jersey tomorrow, but won't play. Saturday vs Vancouver is earliest return date for him.
If Carkner gets regular playing time, he could be worth a look as a PIM stream. The defender is a bona fide heavyweight which should give him some usefulness in fantasy hockey.
Filip Kuba put on IR; left shoulder injury - out 3-4 weeks, no surgery required
Kuba goes on IR, which keeps the blue line young and unjammed. The Czech defender scored two goals and eight points through 24 games and should have been seen as a fringe option on the blue line. Feel safe to let him go if you need the roster space.
Mike Green (groin) and Jay Beagle (concussion) both skated Monday and Tuesday, a team spokesman said. There is no timetable for either to return to the lineup.
Beagle hasn't played since getting knocked out by Arron Asham. He remains out indefinitely but it's a good sign that he is at least skating on his own.

If you own Green, all you can do is wait for him to get back into practice. The elite defender has only played in eight of the team's 26 games.

Hendricks is day-to-day with a lower-body injury, Hunter said. The forward who has zero goals this season and did not play in the third period Monday, declined to speak with reporters.
Hendricks is the team's resident tough guy but was also a favorite of former coach Bruce Boudreau. It will be interesting to see how he is used moving forward.
Roman Hamrlik's status remains unclear

Line Change
It does seem like Alexander Semin will return to the Caps' lineup Wednesday at the Ottawa Senators, though.
If you own Semin, slot him into your lineup for tonight's game. The enigmatic winger is expected to suit up on the top line with Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom.
But now the bad news: Devin Setoguchi looks like he suffered a serious right leg injury. I think knee, but we will see. He was wearing a soft cast on his right leg under his pants after the game, limping badly and being consoled by folks.
Tough break for the speedy winger who continues to struggle with injuries. He scored eight goals and 13 points in his first 28 games with the club but is expected to miss significant playing time. Stay tuned for a further update from the team.
Harding was injured after not being able to corral a Patrick Marleau rebound. Trying to fend off Pavelski, teammate Nick Schultz accidentally struck Harding in the head with an elbow.

Indeed, every time we hear he is coming back, he has a setback. Mueller, 23, was scheduled to return a couple weeks ago, before he became unavailable because of the groin problem.
Don't expect Mueller back in the lineup any time soon. The 23-year-old was only able to play in three games and continues to battle two injuries.

The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
