Not sure if Hamill will play or if he's just insurance for Rich Peverley. In any event, the former 8th overall pick seems to be finally producing at the AHL level.
Kent Huskins was scheduled to skate for the second straight day today as he recovers from bone bruise in foot. won't play Thursday #Blues
Prior to the injury, Huskins was playing on the top even strength pairing alongside Alex Pietrangelo. Under the new Ken Hitchcock regime, who knows where he ends up playing.

J.S. Giguere will start for Avs Thursday against NYI at the Pepsi Center
In eight career appearances against the Isles, Giguere holds a 1-2-1-2 record with a 2.76 GAA, .893 SV% and one shutout.
Line Change
Boudreau had been hopeful but not overconfident about Green playing this weekend, either Friday at the New Jersey Devils or Saturday at home against them. The All-Star defenseman taking part in a tough workout Wednesday seems like a good indication.
Green could return this weekend which would be a boon to the Caps overall play. Check back on Friday and/or Saturday for a firm update on his status.

Jose Theodore made 38 saves in Tuesday's 5-1 win at Toronto and is expected to make his third straight start.
In 22 career starts against the Atlanta Thrashers, Theodore held a 14-5-1 record with a 2.64 GAA and .906 SV%.
#Flyers winger Andreas Nodl is still injured and will not play tonight against the host #Lightning.
At this point Nodl may not have a full-time job on the Flyers with most of their forwards healthy. Prior to the injury he posted an assist and minus-1 rating through nine games.
This news is likely already out there but #NYR forward Mike Rupp's knee surgery was successful. Out four-to-six weeks.
With Rupp out, look for minor league vet Andre Deveaux to stay with the team. Rupp had one goal on the season playing on the fourth line and acting as the team enforcer.

Babchuk will miss at least seven days with this injury. Prior to getting hurt he registered three assists over eight games.

All indications would point to Mueller returning to the lineup soon. Adrian Dater noted yesterday that Mueller was "flying" around the ice. Expect to see him donning the Burgundy and Blue sooner rather than later.

McDonald has still not began skating which is an indication of just how far away he is from returning. Don't expect to see the veteran forward back in the lineup any time soon.

Look for Craig Smith to shift to center in Legwand’s absence. Though it’s unclear who will flank Smith.
Smith gets the first crack at replacing Legwand which says a lot about how the team regards him. He has five goals and 11 points over his first 14 NHL games, second to only Legwand.

Trotz also said defenseman Kevin Klein (ankle) will go in warmups and will be a gametime decision.
Check back later to see if Klein is in the lineup. Should he not be able to play, look for Teemu Laakso and Jack Hillen to stay in.
This is important for Nashville because David Legwand (upper body) will be out. Trotz said Legwand also will most likely be out this weekend for Nashville’s 1,000th game.
Legwand suffered a nasty, blind-side hit last night at the hands of Dustin Brown. His five goals and 14 points currently leads the Preds which makes this injury even tougher to swallow.
