Philp (torn Achilles) has been activated from Injured Reserve and reassigned to Rockford (AHL).

Philp had the potential to make the Blackhawks' opening night roster but was placed on the injured reserve after undergoing Achilles surgery in the offseason. The 27-year-old forward appeared in three games for Chicago in 2022-23 and picked up an assist and two PIMs. He played the majority of last season in Rockford, where he had 29 goals, 53 points and a +17 plus/minus in 60 games played.

Terry (upper body) is out on Wednesday vs. Ottawa.

Terry played the last two games after returning from an injury, tallying one point (0G / 1A), but will return to the sidelines on Wednesday due to an upper-body injury. The Ducks will likely be hard-pressed to find offence on Wednesday night as they will also be without Adam Henrique, who was traded to the Edmonton Oilers earlier in the day.

Troy Terry
Dostal will start on Wednesday vs. Ottawa.

Dostal has started two of the last three games and will return to the crease on Wednesday night. The Czech netminder has faced a heavy workload over his last two outings (1-1-0) and responded admirably, saving 81 of 86 shots .942 SV%. The Ducks, who traded Adam Henrique and Sam Carrick to the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday, are +168 home underdogs against the Ottawa Senators.

The Flyers have acquired Ryan Johansen and a conditional 2025 first-round pick from the Avalanche for Sean Walker and a 2026 fifth-round pick.

Ryan Johansen
The Avalanche have acquired Sean Walker and a 2026 fifth-round pick from the Flyers for Ryan Johansen and a conditional 2025 first-round pick.

Trade rumours circulating Walker for the last few weeks finally materialized on Wednesday in a trade sending him to Colorado. The 29-year-old Walker, in his first season with the Philadelphia Flyers, tallied 22 points (6G / 16A), 109 shots, 81 hits, and 98 blocks in 68 games.

Sean Walker
Martinez (lower body) has been placed on Injured Reserve.

Martinez played 17:22 time-on-ice in the Golden Knights' last contest, a 6-3 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets, but suffered an lower-body injury at some point and will be out of the lineup for at least one week. The 36-year-old Martinez was enjoying a productive season by his standards, registering 16 points (4G / 12A) and 152 blocks in 45 games.

Alec Martinez
The Oilers have acquired Sam Carrick, Adam Henrique and a seventh-round pick from the Ducks for a 2024 first-round pick and a conditional 2025 fifth-round pick.

Carrick provides some depth in the Oilers' bottom six despite struggling offensively over the last two seasons with the Anaheim Ducks. In his last 113 games with the Ducks, Carrick has tallied only 18 points (11G / 7A), after scoring a more impressive 25 points (13G / 12A) in his previous 77.

Sam Carrick
The Oilers have acquired Adam Henrique, Sam Carrick and a seventh-round pick from the Ducks for a 2024 first-round pick and a conditional 2025 fifth-round pick.

Adam Henrique's name has circulated trade rumours, finally being materialized on Wednesday in a trade to the Edmonton Oilers. Henrique is pacing for the best offensive season of his career, already with 42 points (18G / 24A) in 60 games, just nine points less than his 51-point career high set in the 2011-12 season with the New Jersey Devils.

Adam Henrique
The Avlanahce have acquired Casey Mittelstadt from the Sabres for Bowen Byram.

After trading Ryan Johansen to the Philadelphia Flyers, the Avalanche filled their center-ice gap by acquiring Mittelstadt from the Buffalo Sabres. The 25-year-old Mittelstadt was enjoying his best season with the Sabres, with 47 points (14G / 33A) in 62 games.

Casey Mittelstadt
The Sabres have acquired Bowen Byram from the Avalanche for Casey Mittelstadt.

The Sabres blueline will be a treat for years to come after acquiring Byram on Wednesday, adding to an already talented core of Rasmus Dahlin and Owen Power. Byram was having a down year offensively with the Avalanche, with 20 points (8G / 12A) in 55 games this season.

Bowen Byram
Lyon will start on Wednesday in Colorado.

Lyon has lost two straight but will return to the crease on Wednesday for the Red Wings. The 31-year-old Lyon has allowed four goals in two straight (0-2-0), but was sensational against the Colorado Avalanche on February 22nd, saving 30 of 31 shots (.968 SV%) in a 2-1 overtime victory. That said, the Red Wings enter action as +172 underdogs on the road in Colorado.

Alex Lyon
Montembeault will start on Thursday vs. Carolina.
