Lyon will return to the crease for the seventh straight game on Wednesday as the Red Wings look to extend their winning streak to three games before the All-Star break. Lyon has been exceptional during his two-game winning streak, saving 58 of 60 shots (.967 SV%), including one shutout. The Red Wings are -120 home favourites against an Ottawa Senators club with points in six of their last seven outings (4-1-2).

Alex Lyon
Binnington will start Tuesday vs. the Blue Jackets.

Binnington stopped 33 of 36 shots in the Blues win in Seattle last Friday. Binnington has now won three straight starts and has gone 6-1-1 with a .927 SV% and one shutout in eight starts in January. Tonight he will face the Blue Jackets, who have lost seven of their last nine games. St. Louis enter the game as -155 home favourites.

Jordan Binnington
Perunovich had an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of his lower-body injury.

Perunovich left Sunday's game vs. the Kings with a lower-body injury and will not be available for Tuesday's game vs. Columbus. The Blues hope he'll be ready to go after the All-Star break/bye week, but it's too early to tell. Expect Tyler Tucker to replace him in the lineup on Tuesday.

Scott Perunovich
Sogaard will start against the Predators on Monday.

Sogaard will make his first start in three games Monday after taking over in relief for Joonas Korpisalo in the Senators' 7-2 loss to New York on Saturday. The 23-year-old towering netminder has struggled in his first three appearences this season, posting a 1-1-0 record, 4.55 GAA and .841 SV%. He will take on the Nashville Predators, who have lost three of their last four games and are 18th in the NHL in goals per game (2.98).

Mads Sogaard
Quinn (lower body) is expected to be out for approximately eight weeks after undergoing surgery Monday.

Quinn suffered the injury during Saturday's game in San Jose. The only initial update given by the team was that it was more serious than a day-to-day situation, and that was certainly accurate given the eight-week timeline announced today. Quinn was enjoying a nice start to his season after returning from an Achilles injury in mid-December, registering five goals and seven assists in 17 games. The timeline of his latest injury puts him on track to return around the end of March.

Jack Quinn
Fantilli suffered a cut to his left leg from a skate blade and will not play Tuesday vs. St. Louis.

The Blue Jackets have confirmed that Fantilli suffered a cut to his left leg from a skate blade Sunday and will not play Tuesday vs. St. Louis. He is expected to head back to Columbus for further evaluation. The 19-year-old was the 2023 third overall pick and has been excelling in his first NHL season with Columbus, picking up 12 goals, 27 points, 115 SOG, 16 PIMs and -21 plus/minus.

Adam Fantilli
Hertl (undisclosed) is considered day-to-day but hopeful to play Tuesday vs. Seattle.

Hertl left the Sharks' contest Saturday vs. Buffalo after just 16:50 TOI due to an undisclosed injury and is now considered day-to-day after not practicing Monday but does hope to be back in the lineup Tuesday. The 30-year-old will represent San Jose at the 2024 NHL All Star games after collecting 15 goals, 34 points, 113 SOG, 22 PIMs and a -26 plus/minus in 48 games prior to his injury.

Tomas Hertl
Blackwood will start Tuesday vs. Seattle.

The Sharks' goalie starting carousel continues Tuesday as Blackwood will return to San Jose's crease vs. Seattle after backing up Kappa Kahkonen last game. The 27-year-old will look to extend a personal two-game winning streak which has drastically improved his 7-17-3 season record alongside his 3.63 GAA and .896 SV%. He takes on the struggle Seattle Kraken at home Tuesday, who has lost five of their last seven games and rank 27th in the NHL in goals per game (2.84).

Mackenzie Blackwood
Beaudin and the Canadiens have mutually agreed to terminate the defensemen's contract.

It was reported yesterday by Elliotte Friedman that Beaudin was unhappy with his AHL minutes in Laval (AHL) and has agreed to mutually part ways with Montreal. The 24-year-old defensemen was Chicago's 2018 first round pick (27th overall) and has struggled with Laval this season, producing only six assists, six PIMs and a +2 plus/minus in 16 games prior to the mutual parting.

Nicolas Beaudin
MacDonald (lower body) has been activated from the Injured Reserve.

MacDonald hasn't played since December 23rd, 2023 due to a lower-body injury but has been activated from the Injured Reserve Monday. The 30-year-old Swiss army knife had appeared in 17 games prior to his injury, picking up six goals, seven points, and a -10 plus/minus.

Jacob MacDonald
Ferraro (undisclosed) has been placed on the Injured Reserve.

Ferraro left the Sharks' game a week ago vs. Los Angeles after just 14:02 due to an undisclosed injury and has been placed on the Injured Reserve Monday. The 25-year-old had been a key part of San Jose's blue line throughout the year, with his 14 points (1G/13A), 26 PIMs, 79 SOG, and -21 plus/minus.

Mario Ferraro
Shore has been placed on waivers by Seattle.

Shore has two points (2A) in his previous 15 contests and has been placed on waivers Monday by Seattle ahead of the All-Star break. The 29-year-old has struggled offensively in his first season in Seattle, with only four points (1G/3A), 15 SOG and four PIMs in only 21 games played.

Devin Shore
Saros will start Monday in Ottawa.

Saros will return to the Preators' crease Monday after backing up Kevin Lankinen in Nashville's previous contest. The 28-year-old superstar netminder has been experiencing possibly the roughest season of his nine year career, with his 19-18-1 record, 2.91 GAA and .904 SV%.
