Georgiev will return to the crease on Friday after a strong performance in his most recent outing, saving 18 of 19 shots in a 2-1 win over the Vegas Golden Knights. Colorado has struggled to receive adequate goaltending this season, but Georgiev has significantly improved lately, posting .910 SV% in his last eight appearances (6-1-0). Bortuzzo played only 4:51 time-on-ice before exiting his previous game with a lower-body injury. He missed practice on Thursday but will draw back into the lineup on Friday against the Edmonton Oilers. The 35-year-old defenseman is averaging 10:20 time-on-ice through nine games this season.

Hill was tremendous in his previous outing, saving 33 of 34 shots (.971 SV%), but came up short in a 2-1 shootout loss to the Colorado Avalanche. After a rocky start to the season, the 28-year-old Hill has allowed two or fewer goals in five straight (3-1-1), posting an impressive .932 SV%. The Golden Knights enter the action on Friday as +102 home underdogs against the NHL's first-place team, the Winnipeg Jets.

Olofsson (lower-body) has been recalled from his conditioning stint at Henderson (AHL).

Olofsson started the 2024-25 season, his first with the Golden Knights, off strong, scoring three goals in four games before suffering a lower-body injury. He will draw back into the Golden Knights lineup after a brief conditioning stint in the AHL.

Sillinger (upper-body) will return vs. Calgary on Friday.

Sillinger will return to the lineup after a one-game absence due to an upper-body injury. The 21-year-old Sillinger already has 240 NHL games to his name and has been productive this season, scoring 12 points (3G / 9A) in 20 contests while averaging a career-high 18:06 time-on-ice.

Hronek (upper-body) is out on Friday vs. Buffalo and is still being evaluated.

Hronek is among ice time leaders for the Canucks this season, averaging 23:36 time-on-ice. He has nine points (1G / 8A) in 21 games this season. Vincent Desharnais will draw into the Canucks lineup as Hronek's replacement on the blueline.

Back to their even goalie rotation, the Capitals will turn to Thompson between the pipes for the fourth time in the last eight games. The 27-year-old Thompson has been excellent for the Capitals this season, posting a 2.44 GAA and .917 SV% in 11 games (9-1-1). The Capitals enter Friday's contest as -143 home favorites against a New York Islanders club in the bottom tier of the league offensively, averaging only 2.56 goals per game.

Kochetkov left last Saturday's game in overtime following a collision with Zach Werenski and has not suited up since, leaving the Hurricanes goaltending duties to Spencer Martin. Martin will tend the twine again on Friday but the 25-year-old Kochetkov could be ready to suit up on Saturday.

Lundell (upper-body) will return to Florida's lineup in Carolina on Friday.

Jonah Gadjovich will be a healthy scratch on Friday, allowing Lundell to return from a one-game absence. The 23-year-old Lundell has 16 points (7G / 9A) in 22 games this season, pacing for a career-high, but has been held off the scoresheet in seven of his last eight.

Mrazek will start in Minnesota on Friday.

Mrazek is arguably amid the best season of his career and will return to the crease on Friday. The 32-year-old Mrazek is sporting a 2.63 GAA and .912 SV% in 16 games this season (7-8-1). The last time Mrazek showcased numbers that strong over a full season was in 2018-19 when he posted a 2.39 GAA and .914 SV% in 40 games (23-14-3) with the Carolina Hurricanes. The Blackhawks enter Friday's contest as sizeable +226 road underdogs against the Minnesota Wild.
