Despite a 3-2 win in their last outing courtesy of Yaroslav Askarov between the pipes, the Predators will turn back to Saros, who has lost three straight outings. Saros has allowed 13 goals over his last three games (0-3-0), posting a .829 SV% after an eight-game stretch (7-1-0) where he was nearly unbeatable, posting a stellar .936 SV%. That said, the Predators are significant -273 home favourites against a Chicago Blackhawks team that was destroyed by an 8-1 margin against the Dallas Stars on Sunday.

Rust (lower-body) will return to the Penguins' lineup on Tuesday.

Rust will return to the Penguins' lineup for Tuesday's game against the Capitals after missing the last ten games due to an upper-body injury he suffered on December 6th. Before his injury, Rust was having a terrific season, scoring 20 points (10G / 10A) in 22 games. He will skate alongside Reilly Smith and Evgeni Malkin on the Penguins' second line tonight.

The Bruins' starting goalie carousel continue Tuesday as Linus Ullmark will take the crease vs. Boston after backing up Jeremy Swayman in Boston's previous victory. The 30-year-old is the NHL's reigning Vezina Trophy winner but has come down to earth in 2023-24, with his 11-5-2 record, 2.82 GAA and .916 SV%. He will head to Columbus to take on the Blue Jackets, who have lost four of their last five games and are 16th in the NHL in goals per game (3.13).

Shesterkin will start against the Hurricanes on Tuesday.

Shesterkin has been terrific over the last several weeks and will start for the second consecutive game on Tuesday. Shesterkin has won five straight games, allowing two or fewer in four, posting a remarkable .946 SV%, a sign that he is back to his Vezina-caliber form after an inconsistent first portion of the season, posting a .902 SV% in his first 17 games (10-7-0). The Rangers are slight -113 home favourites against a Carolina Hurricanes team that has won three straight, outscoring their opposition 13-7.

Kochetkov will start in New York on Tuesday.

Kochetkov has been solid for the Hurricanes over the last month and will return to the crease for the seventh time in the last eight games on Tuesday. Kochetkov has helped the Hurricanes collect at least a point in seven of his last eight games (5-1-2), posting a tremendous .930 SV%, giving the team high-caliber goaltending that they had been lacking all season. That said, the Hurricanes are +110 road underdogs against the New York Rangers, a team that is coming off a commanding 5-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning and has been atop the Eastern Conference for most of the season.

Shea has appeared in 22 games this season but has yet to pick up a point while collecting 13 SOG, six PIMs and a -2 plus/minus but has been reassigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL) Tuesday. The 26-year-old will have to wait to acquire his first career NHL point as he heads back to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton where he had no points in four games prior to his original promotion.

Rust has missed ten straight games for the Penguins after suffering an upper-body injury on December 6th.
