New Jersey has signed Jakub Malek to a two-year, entry-level contract.

Malek was New Jersey's 2021 fourth-round pick (100th overall) and signed a two-year, entry-level contract on Monday. The 22-year-old goaltender is coming off his second season with Ilves (Liiga), where he posted an impressive 16-4-5 record, 2.32 GAA and .915 SV%.

Swayman was the first goalie off the ice at Boston's morning skate.

Swayman was sensational in the Bruins' hard-fought opening series vs. Toronto, posting a ridiculous .950 SV%, 1.49 GAA and 4-2-0 record as Boston won in seven games. The 25-year-old is expected to take the crease for Game 1 of their second series on Monday in Florida after leaving the ice first during the morning skate. Florida is coming off a relatively easy opening series win over Tampa Bay, who they closed out in five games.

Jeremy Swayman
Carlo (personal) will be a game-time decision after the birth of his child this morning.

Carlo missed Boston's morning skate due to the birth of his second child but is expected to be a game-time decision for Game 1 on Monday in Florida as he attempts to get to the team for game time. If Carlo is unable to go, Derek Forbort is expected to replace him according to this morning's line rushes. The 27-year-old had a strong opening series vs. Toronto, with a goal, two points and a +2 plus/minus.

Bobrovsky and the Panthers handled fellow state rival Tampa Bay fairly easy with a 4-1 opening series lead and will hope to take an early advantage over Boston as they host the Bruins for Game 1 on Monday. Despite the opening series success, Bobrovsky's playoff numbers this year are only so-so as he sports a 2.78 GAA and .896 SV% to go along with his 4-1-0 record. He will host the Boston Bruins on Monday, who are buzzing after coming off a 2-1 overtime Game 7 victory over their rival, the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Sergei Bobrovsky
Boqvist is expected to be a healthy scratch for Game 1 on Monday vs. Florida.

Boqvist appeared in all seven of Boston's opening series games vs. Toronto but appears to be a healthy scratch for Game 1 on Monday in Florida. The 25-year-old averaged 9:28 TOI in the opening round and had an assist, four SOG and a +1 plus/minus. He is expected to be replaced by Patrick Brown.

Jesper Boqvist
Brown is expected to draw back into Boston's lineup for Game 1 on Monday vs. Florida.

Brown did not appear in any of Boston's seven opening series games but is expected to make his 2023-24 playoff debut on Monday. The 27-year-old led Vegas to thier first Stanley Cup Victory last season but only took over the starters crease in Game 5 this year. He holds a 1-1-0 record, 1.52 GAA and .938 SV% through his two starts and will be looking to knock off Dallas on Sunday on the road.

Adin Hill
Adin Hill is expected to start Game 7 in Dallas.

Oettinger stopped 28 of 29 shots (.966 SV%) in a hard-fought Game 6 loss and will start as expected as Dallas hosts Vegas for Game 7 on Sunday. The 25-year-old has started every game of the playoffs thus far for Dallas and holds a 3-3-0 record, 2.10 GAA and .921 SV% through six games. He'll look to close out the series on Sunday as he hosts the Vegas Golden Knights, who finished the regular season 13th in goals per game (3.21).

Jake Oettinger
Faksa (undisclosed) will draw back into Dallas’ lineup for Game 7.

Faksa has not appeared since Game 2 due to an undisclosed injury but will draw back into the lineup on Sunday for Game 7 vs. Vegas. The 30-year-old did not pick a point through his first two games played but did have two SOG and -1 plus/minus while averaging 9:00 TOI/GP.

Radek Faksa
Ty Dellandrea will be a scratch for Game 7 vs. Vegas.

Dellandrea has appeared in four games for Dallas in their opening series but will be a scratch for Game 7 vs. Vegas as Radek Faksa returns to the lineup. The 23-year-old had one goal, five SOG, and two PIMs while averaging 11:57 TOI/GP through his four games played.

Pesce (lower-body) will miss at least the first two games of the Round 2.

Pesce has been out since Game 2 due to a lower-body injury and will miss at least the first two games of Carolina's Round 2 series vs. New York. The 29-year-old picked up an assist, one SOG, two PIMs and a +1 plus/minus through his two games played prior to his injury.
