The Capitals have recalled Devante Smith-Pelly from Hershey (AHL).

Game 5 will be Smith-Pelly’s first NHL games since February 17th. Smith-Pelly went to the AHL after that game and had six goals and eight assists (14 points) in 20 games with Hershey. Smith-Pelly was effective during the Capitals’ Stanley Cup run a year ago, scoring seven goals with one assist (eight points) in 24 postseason games.

The Blue Jackets have recalled Zac Dalpe from Cleveland (AHL).

Despite having a number of reserve forwards already in Columbus, it looks like Dalpe could draw into the lineup in Game 4. Dalpe would replace Brandon Dubinsky, who was banged up in Game 3. Dalpe had a strong season at the AHL level, scoring 33 goals with 22 assists (55 points) in 55 games.

The Maple Leafs have recalled Michael Hutchinson from Toronto (AHL).

Hutchinson has performed well for the Marlies, going 14-5-1 with a 2.70 GAA and .910 SV% in 23 games. During a brief stint with the Maple Leafs earlier in the year, Hutchinson was 2-3-0 with a 2.64 GAA and .914 SV% in five games. It looks like Hutchinson is simply added insurance as the Leafs head into the playoffs, but don’t be surprised if he starts the season finale after Garret Sparks’ struggles continued on Tuesday.

The Coyotes have recalled Adin Hill from Tucson (AHL).

Darcy Kuemper was forced to leave Tuesday’s game after taking a stick in the face vs. the Kings, so Hill comes back up in case Kuemper isn’t available for Thursday’s game. Hill has gone 15-12-2 with a 2.46 GAA and .911 SV% in 32 AHL games this season.
