The Coyotes have recalled Kyle Capobianco from Tucson (AHL).
There were reports on Monday morning that Nicklas Hjalmarsson will miss approximately three months, so Capobianco has earned a call-up and could be in-line for an extended stay with the Coyotes. The former third-round pick had 32 points (7G / 25A) in 40 AHL games last year and has failed to record a point in his first three career NHL contests.
The Canucks have recalled Zane McIntyre from Utica (AHL).
McIntyre has gone 2-0-0 while giving up just six goals on 62 shots (.903 SV%) in his first two starts of the AHL season. With Jacob Markstrom leaving the team for personal reasons, McIntyre comes up to serve as Thatcher Demko’s backup.
The Sabres recalled Curtis Lazar from Rochester (AHL).
Lazar has picked up one assist in three games with Rochester and has been recalled to serve as an extra forward as the Sabres head out to California for a road-trip starting on Wednesday. The former first-round pick has 51 points (15G / 36A) in 246 career NHL games with the Senators and Flames.
The Maple Leafs have recalled Kevin Gravel from Toronto (AHL).
Gravel has not registered a point in three games with the Marlies and will replace Rasmus Sandin on the Maple Leafs roster. He has 13 points (1G / 12A) in 106 career NHL games with the Kings and Oilers.

Sandin made the team after a tremendous training camp and collected two assists and five shots in 12:13 ATOI in his first six NHL games. Sandin heads to the AHL to get more playing time and will be replaced by Kevin Gravel on the Maple Leafs roster.
The Islanders have recalled Oliver Wahlstrom from Bridgeport (AHL).
Wahlstrom was the No.11 pick in the 2018 draft and seems poised to make his NHL debut on Monday afternoon. The 19-year-old winger has likely been recalled to replace Jordan Eberle, who was hurt in Saturday’s win. Wahlstrom has one goal and two assists in four AHL games, giving him six points (3G / 3A) in nine career AHL games.
The Wild have recalled Gerry Mayhew from Iowa (AHL).
Mayhew has had a great start to the season with Iowa, scoring three goals and three assists (six points) in four AHL games. He was second on the team with 60 points (27G / 33A) in 71 games last year and could make his NHL debut on Monday with Mats Zuccarello questionable due to an undisclosed injury.
The Senators have recalled Jordan Szwarz from Belleville (AHL).
Szwarz has not recorded a point in three games with Belleville but had 46 points (23G / 23A) in 68 AHL games a season ago. He has seven points (4G / 3A) in 47 career NHL games with the Coyotes and Bruins.
The Senators have recalled Nick Paul from Belleville (AHL).
Paul has had a strong start to the season, scoring one goal with three assists in three AHL games. The 24-year-old is a candidate to draw into the lineup on Monday afternoon and comes up with eight points (4G / 4A) in 56 career NHL games.
The Senators have sent Vitaly Abramov to Bellville (AHL).
Abramov scored a goal in his season debut but returns to the AHL with Mikkel Boedker likely taking his spot in the lineup on Monday. Abramov didn’t have a point in his AHL season debut but had seven points (4G / 3A) in 18 AHL games last year.
The Blue Jackets have recalled Markus Hannikainen from Cleveland (AHL).
Hannikainen had one goal in two games with the Monsters to start the AHL season. He takes Josh Anderson’s spot on the roster and returns to the NHL, where he had seven points (4G / 3A) in 44 games last year.
The Golden Knights have reassigned Jimmy Schuldt to Chicago (AHL).
Schuldt, 24, recorded an assist in his NHL debut last year but sat as a healthy scratch in the first four games of 2019-20. Schuldt switches spots with Jake Bischoff.

Bischoff, 25, was a seventh-round pick in 2012 and has taken a long road to the NHL. He spent four years at the University of Minnesota and over 120 games in the AHL. The 6-foot-1, 194 lbs. defenseman had 13 points (2G / 11A) in 60 games with the Wolves last year.
The Stars have assigned Denis Gurianov to Texas (AHL).
Gurianov was a healthy scratch in Washington on Tuesday and his demotion to the AHL suggests that one or both of Jason Dickinson and/or Corey Perry could be ready for Saturday’s game. Gurianov, who failed to record a point in his first three games this season, had 48 points (20G / 28A) in 57 AHL games last year.
The Jets have assigned Sami Niku to Manitoba (AHL).
Niku played in Pittsburgh on Tuesday but was a healthy scratch on Thursday with both Josh Morrissey and Dmitry Kulikov returning to the lineup. Niku heads back to Manitoba but will absolutely be up with the big-club again this season.
The Hurricanes have recalled Julien Gauthier from Charlotte (AHL).
Gauthier was one of the last cuts in training camp and started the AHL season with two goals in two games. The 6-foot-4, 225 lbs. winger was the No.21 overall pick in 2016 but could have a tough time carving out a meaningful role on a deep Hurricanes squad.
The Penguins have recalled Adam Johnson from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL).
Johnson had two assists in his first six career NHL games with the Penguins last season. The 25-year-old centre had two assists in his season debut with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this year. He will take Alex Galchenyuk’s spot on the roster.
The Jets have reassigned Nelson Nogier to Manitoba (AHL).
Nogier was recalled prior to Tuesday’s game as an extra defenseman. His return to Manitoba suggests that Josh Morrissey will be available for Thursday’s game.

The Lightning have assigned Gemel Smith to Syracuse (AHL).
Smith had one goal and four PIMS during 9:10 ATOI in his first three games with the Lightning. This roster move suggests that Brayden Point (hip) is ready to make his season debut on Thursday.
The Jets have recalled Nelson Nogier from Manitoba (AHL).
Winnipeg’s blueline remains in flux and Nogier could make his season debut on Tuesday. The 6-foot-3, 208 lbs. defenseman had just nine points (1G / 8A) in 74 AHL games last season. He has not recorded a point in 11 career NHL games.
