The Philadelphia Flyers are geting some big-time reinforcements up front.

On Sunday, the Flyers announced that forwards Travis Konecny and Owen Tippett have been activated off of injured reserve.

Konecny, 29, has missed Philadelphia’s last 10 games with a lower-body injury he suffered in a 2-1 loss to the Ottawa Senators on October 8. In five games played this season, Konecny has no goals and three assists. Last season, the London, Ontario native registered 27 goals and 41 assists for a team-leading 68 points. He then contributed a goal and four assists for five points over the Flyers’ 10 playoff games.

Selected 24th overall by Philadelphia in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, Konecny is in his 11th season with the Flyers. His career-best campaign came in 2024-25, when he put up 24 goals and 52 assists for 76 points in all 82 regular season games. He is in the second season of an eight-year, $70 million contract.

Tippett, 27, has missed Philadelphia’s last six games with an upper-body injury he suffered in a 2-1 loss to the Detroit Red Wings on October 15. The Peterborough, Ontario native has just a goal and an assist for two points in nine games this season.

Last season, Tippett tallied 28 goals and 23 assists for 51 points in 81 games, before having a goal and an assist in six playoff games for the Flyers.

Selected 10th overall by the Florida Panthers in the 2017 Draft, Philadelphia acquired Tippett in March of 2022 as part of the trade that sent forward Claude Giroux to the Panthers. He is now in the third season of an eight-year, $49.6 million contract with the Flyers.

Philadelphia, sitting last in the Metropolitan Division with 10 points through 15 games, hosts the Utah Mammoth on Sunday before finishing a miniature two-game homestand against the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday.
