Appleton (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision on Saturday vs. Carolina.

Monahan joins Nikolaj Ehlers, Mason Appleton, and Gabriel Vilardi as game-time decisions ahead of the matchup on Saturday against the Carolina Hurricanes. All four of them played in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Dallas Stars with Appleton recording two shots and five hits.

Mason Appleton
Mason Appleton is considered day-to-day as he deals with a lower-body injury.

Appleton has yet to appear in the preseason for Winnipeg after sustaining a lower-body injury and is considered day-to-day for the time being. The 27-year-old scored five goals, 11 assists, had eight PIMs, 71 SOG and a +2 plus/minus through 41 games with the Jets in 2022-23. He is entering his seventh NHL season and is expected to be a crucial part of the Jets' bottom-six.

Appleton (upper-body) will be back in the Jets lineup on Monday.

Appleton has missed the Jets' last two games with an upper-body injury and will return to the Winnipeg lineup Monday as they take on San Jose. The 27-year-old has two goals, seven assists, 32 SOG, six PIMs and a -2 plus/minus through 22 games played before the injury.

Mason Appleton (upper body) is expected to be out for eight weeks.

Appleton left Winnipeg's overtime win in Seattle Sunday early and will now need surgery which will hold him out of the Jets lineup for approximately eight weeks. It is a tough loss for the 26-year-old who had a goal and six points off 25 SOG through his first 14 games played with the Jets this season

The Jets placed Mason Appleton (upper-body) on IR.

Appleton has been dealing with an upper-body injury and was moved to IR retroactive to October 5th. The move would still allow him to be activated ahead of the Jets season opener, and was likely made in order to open up a roster spot for Axel Jonsson-Fjällby.

Mason Appleton
The Jets have acquired Mason Appleton from the Kraken for a 2023 fourth-round pick.

Appleton was picked in the expansion draft but the Jets reunite with the 26-year-old for a fourth-round pick. Appleton could replace Andrew Copp, who may be on the move before Monday's trade deadline. Appleton has scored six goals with 11 assists (17 points) in 49 games this season.

Mason Appleton
Appleton is out indefinitely with a lower-body injury.

Appleton was moved to IR on Saturday and head coach Dave Hakstol said he is out indefinitely on Sunday. Appleton suffered a lower-body injury vs. the Canadiens last Tuesday and his injury opens up a roster spot for Nathan Bastian to play full-time moving forward.

Mason Appleton
The Jets have re-signed Mason Appleton to a two-year extension worth $1.8 million ($900K AAV).

Appleton produced high-end numbers at Michigan State and in the AHL but has just 18 points (8G / 10A) in 82 career NHL games. Given the Jets' solid depth on the wing, Appleton will likely be a fourth liner for the duration of 2021, making it unlikely for his numbers to improve.

Mason Appleton
The Jets have recalled Mason Appleton from Manitoba (AHL).

Appleton was recently assigned to Manitoba after returning to full health but was called up on Wednesday with Andrew Copp going on IR. Appleton has one assist in four AHL games and no points in nine NHL games this season. He is expected to skate on the third line with Adam Lowry and Gabriel Bourque on Thursday.

Mason Appleton
The Jets have sent Mason Appleton to Manitoba (AHL).

Appleton has been on IR since mind-October but has been cleared to play, so he goes to the AHL to get some games in. Since he was last in the lineup, the Jets have added Nick Shore via waivers, bulking up their bottom-6 depth and allowing them to send Appleton to the AHL.
