Mrazek will start Thursday in Tampa Bay.

Mrazek was on the winning side of Sunday’s game in Ottawa despite allowing four goals on 31 shots. Mrazek has won two in a row while giving up a combined seven goals and comes into Thursday at 5-5-0 with a 2.64 GAA, .912 SV% and one shutout in his last 10 starts. Talbot will start Thursday vs. the Panthers.

Talbot was pulled after giving up four goals on 17 shots in the Oilers loss to the Sharks on Tuesday. Mikko Koskinen didn’t fare much better, so Talbot will go again tonight vs. the Panthers. Talbot has gone 1-1-0 with a 2.24 GAA, .930 SV% and one shutout in his first three appearances of the 2019 calendar year. Talbot allowed three goals on 32 shots in a 4-1 loss in his first start against the Panthers this season.

Cam Talbot
Talbot will start Tuesday in San Jose.

Talbot stopped all 39 shots that he faced in the Oilers shutout win in Anaheim on Sunday. After entering in relief on Saturday and standing on his head on Sunday, Talbot earned a second straight start tonight in San Jose. Talbot allowed seven goals on 40 shots vs. the Sharks right after Christmas, so look elsewhere for a reliable starter tonight.

Simek has missed the last two games with a concussion but could be back Monday vs. the Kings. Simek is officially questionable so monitor his status as the Sharks hit the ice for warmups. Simek has recorded five points (1G / 4A) in 14 games since being recalled from the AHL.

Chiasson (knee) has been activated from IR and will play on Saturday.

Chiasson has missed the last three games with a knee injury but will play Saturday in Los Angeles. Chiasson was hot before getting hurt, scoring five goals with two assists in his last nine games. However, he will start on a line with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and not Connor McDavid on Saturday.
